I don't know, it makes more sense than the christian... Bible babble. Also it explains alot of things.

Monkeys, lots and lots of monkeys...

If humans did evolve from monkeys ... then why are there still monkeys around, since it is said the whole monkey group evolved into humans?

Nothing says the whole monkey group evolved....
You can look at is sort of as us being another species of Monkey. They got Gorillas, Orangutangs, Chimps, and now Humans. XD
And I'm gonna agree with Reaver that it's a much better explination than "Poof! We're here!" <.<;

Yeah, just because one strain of monkey evolved further than another doesn't mean that they all would have.

Has anyone here learned the contents of Darwinism? A curious question this time.
It postulated the evolution occurred by means of natural selection. What do you think, or know, about the definition of the term 'natural selection'?

"Natural selection is the process by which favorable heritable traits become more common in successive generations of a population of reproducing organisms, and unfavorable heritable traits become less common, due to differential reproduction of genotypes."
^ That.

Doesn't it ever make you wonder who or what decided that these favourable traits are passed on generation by generation during the course of said evolution? It does not simply happen on its own, saying that nature makes everything. It sounds very lifeless to say that evolution goes by its own self. As though ... evolution does not have a pre-determined goal.
I believe evolution was done not by natural selection, in the sense that it happened by itself, but that it was guided by an invisible force. That same force which made nature as it is. There is a certain direction in which evolution is heading for ... a lot of people that it just happened by itself ... that's just not right. Everything in this world that is done definitely has a purpose, and evolution is no exception.
That's why I reject the idea of natural selection, Darwin saying that evolution is random. And I think that evolution has already ended. There's nothing more for anything to evolve further.

It does happen on it's own. It's in genetics. Animals adapt to situations, and develop favorable traits, and they pass those onto their young, and they evolve.
Those who don't adapt, die off. That's how natural selection works. >.>;

Sorry to rain on the evolution parade, but Darwin's theory has been proved wrong.

Would you mind citing evidence of this, rather than just a one line statement? Regardless of the theory behind it, I still support evolution, but if this theory is wrong, I'd like to hear more about that.

I share some stances with Nightmare. I believe that evolution did occur, but I reject the notion of natural selection - for more of a creationist point of view.

there are many kinda of monkey creatures, like mentioned.. so if some species just evolved more than others.. That doesn't explain why ostriches sharks and crocodiles haven't evolved since the dinosaurs tho, they're all unintelligent animals with a brain size of a peanut... altho they are pretty much perfect as far as regular animals come.
Thus I think it's stupid to assume that out of billions of species on earth one just randomly evolved into us in such short time.

One cannot assume the Earth was born in 6 days. Rather, the 13 billion year age sounds more logical as it requires lots of time for evolution to occur. (Some people out there still take the Bible 6 days literally)
Nice article. But ... I'm going to allow someone debate this first. I may learn more from this.
