Sounds good to me. I have more than enough for a bug team already.

We haven't battled yet. Right now he's convinced the gyms to do 4 on 4 from BW only (because I think he can't make a team now that we banned all legendarys) Right now Im just egging my team waiting on him. As soon as he's ready Im just going to rare candy hack my game and elevate all my guys to the level I need them. (EV train obviously) Right now its Galvantula - Thunder
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power
- Bug Buzz
Item: CHoice Scarf EV's: Speed 250 SP attack 250 IV's: Lower Attack, Higher SP attack Characteristic: SP attack Ability: Compound Eyes Crustle - Stealth Rock
- X-Scissor
- Counter
- Spikes
Item: LeftOvers or Rocky Helmet EVs: HP 250 DF 250 IV's: Lower SP Attack, Higher DEF Characteristic: HP Ability: Sturdy Volvrona - Substitute
- Bug Buzz
- Butterfly Dance (Quiver Dance)
- Fiery Dance
Item: Leftovers Ev's: SP Defense 250, HP 250 IV's: Lower attack, Higher SP defense Characteristic: HP Ability: Flame Body Durant - X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Hone Claws
- Crunch/ Thunder Fang
Item: Not too sure Ev's: Speed 250, Attack 250 Iv's Lower SP attack, higher Attack Characteristic: Speed Ability: Hustle (this being why I need Hone Claws) Not sure if I should replace Crustle with Scoilipede. He's fast and strong, but i also like Leafian. What keeps me on Crustle is the Stealth Rock and Spikes.

Just fyi, IVs and Natures aren't the same thing. IVs are hidden values from 0-31 in each stat that increase said stat by that much at level 100.

Right, characteristics give the IV right? I couldn't think of the Nature, like, to call it Nature, so I just went with what I did. Im sure you got the gist of what I was saying though.

Characteristics give you a hint about what IVs it has. Characteristic comes from IVs, not the other way around. But yeah, I got the point.

On second though I might go Steel, I've got a really good idea for a Steel team. Though it kind of depends on the rules, if we wanted to go a team of 6 from all generations or just a team of 4 from Black and White.
How long did it take to form your team Vile? Do you think we should aim to have these battles around Carnival time?

I can do a team in a week. Just egg them when Im out doing things, getting my car oil changed, taking a dump, watching TV, on break, just kinda whatever. Then EVing dosn't take but like, 5 minuets. the big factor for me though, is that I just rare candy mine after EV's are put into play. There's really no harm in them after you EV, so I just do it that way.
If we do gyms, I think I could do a good Water team. I have plan for one, I just need the dreamworld to open up. I could also do Poison, though I feel I would get owned rather fast with a poison team.

Hypothetical 'diverse' team I want to work on, not going to mention movesets or anything detailed until I can get some feedback. Quick note before I actually start: anything separated by slashes are members I'm considering for the same position. But, if you have other ideas that may work, don't be afraid to tell me so.
Anyway, what I want to use is: Mamoswine/Jolteon/Galvantula Scizor/Volcarona Chandelure/Scrafty Samurott/Kingdra/Lanturn Hydreigon/Salamence/Dragonite Staraptor/Bronzong
Like I said before, any other suggestions are much appreciated.

I think the Dream World is already live, Vile. I haven't used it yet, though.
Mind highlighting what purpose each party slot is meant to serve, HZ?

I really don't have much of a purpose for each slot (Save for Scizor, I want to use that as a Baton Passer). I just listed off pokemon I would like to use as an online team eventually. I guess my main concern when convieving that list was just covering my elemental weaknesses, but I was more looking for any suggestions on how the selected pokemon may work as a team.

Well I don't claim to be an expert and battling Pokemans online but it seems to me that each team needs one lead to set up entry hazards or an anti lead to prevent the other team from doing such. After that you probably need 2-3 sweepers, try to mix physical and special. Then maybe a wall to switch into and soak up damage and some kind of healer and that should do you. Maybe remove one of the sweepers and exchange it for a revenge killer. But that's just a general team. If you had something special in mind then adapt as necessary. I'm guessing you didn't list them in your intended order, to my knowledge Mamoswine/Jolteon/Galvantula are not the best leads.
----------------------------------- For my Steel team I'm thinking Metagross as my lead. Not the fastest but he'll endure most hits, probably even an explosion if they wanted to try it. Going to run with Stealth Rock and Explosion, and Earthquake and Bullet Punch if there's an opportunity.
Next up is Scizor with Bullet Punch, Pursuit, X-Scissor and Swords Dance. He can be a sweeper if I need, but he's mostly a revenge killer. Thinking of getting rid of something for U-Turn so he can be a scout but a don't think this team needs it since everyone is Steel, all have the same weaknesses and such. But if anyone can make a case for U-Turn or a different move I'm open to suggestion.
Lucario can play revenge killer as well but I think he's my main sweeper for this team. Swords Dance, Close Combat, Crunch and Extreme Speed. Not much else to say.
Magnezone is up next and is important to this set because its my only special attacker, everything else is physical. I'm probably going to run Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon, as well as Substitute and Toxic. I know toxic is interesting on a Magnezone but I chose it over Thunderwave because on an all Steel team I think I'm going to be stalling whether I choose to or not. Tell me if this is stupid, I know a more logical choice is Magnet Rise and Explosion. He feels naked without Explosion.
Steelix. Crazy physical wall, as well as my third and final potential sweeper. Curse him up to crazy stupid levels of defense and attack, his speed is going to be ass anyway. Rest him if he ever gets low and wake him up with a berry for more Curse goodness. Then I've got STABs in Earthquake and Gyro Ball, and Gyro Ball gets a massive power increase when speed gets that low. Hoping not to use him until late game when any special attackers are down, they're the only ones who could mess this up.
And then I have Skarmory to round things out. I've got Spikes on him to add additional entry hazard along with Metagross' spikes. Then Whirlwind to shut other people down if they start buffing for a sweep, along with Roost and Brave Bird to keep him up and give him some teeth in case they Taunt me.
If anyone has suggestions for items or alternate moves let me know, or even if you think I should swap some Pokemon for others. Think I've got a solid Steel team here though.

Your team seems solid, Swim. Not much I can reccommend. Although I think you can throw an Aggron in there somewhere, but it's up to you. _______________________________
Also, I've decided to stop being stupid about this and came up with a much better hypothetical team list. Though these are prone to changes, I still may want to use these somewhere down the line.
1. Gigalith Nature: Sassy/Careful Ability: Sturdy Item: Quick Claw/Shell Bell(?) Moves: Explosion Stealth Rock Substitute Earthquake
What I want to do with this one is just set up Stealth Rock first turn, which is almost guaranteed with Sturdy/High Phys. defense and then blow him up once he gets down to the red. If i'm lucky enough with the Quick Claw, I can hopefully get a Substitute and then start Earthquaking until he goes down. Otherwise it'll be just Spike->Boom.
2. Scizor Nature: Bold/Timid Ability: Technician Item: Leftovers Moves: Agility Substitute Baton Pass X-Scissor
Just a simple Baton Pass Scizor, I could switch out Substitute for Swords Dance and work with that; but with the one I'm most likely going to be Baton Passing to, I think Agility would work better. X-Scissor is there so I can, hopefully, take out any opposing Psychic types, but It's not gonna be my first option.
3. Mienshao Nature: Adamant/Jolly Ability: Regenerator Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash(?)/Chesto Berry/Razor Claw Moves: Hi Jump Kick U-Turn Stone Edge Hidden Power - Ice/Rest
This is who I plan to Baton Pass to most of the time. Mienshao will act as my physical sweeper during the fight; Hi Jump Kicking people while I've still got the substitute out. But, if that goes down and Mienshao takes a non-fatal hit (or if Focus Sash goes off), I can U-Turn it to someone else so Regenerator can take effect. If I wanted to, I can take out the Hidden Power and switch it with the Rest/Chesto Berry combo, but then I've got got a squishy Mienshao ready to take another hit I may not want, so that's gonna be just an experimental thing.
4. Chandelure Nature: Modest/Bold Ability: Flash Fire/Shadow Tag Item: Focus Sash/Shell Bell/Sitrus Berry Moves: Flame Thrower Shadow Ball Pain Split Substitute
145 Special Attack? Yes, please! This is going to be my other Baton Pass option, I can really take advantage of it's sheer power with Agility and Substitute up. And if the one Scizor made goes down, I can replenish it with it's own and go from there. Although, Chandelure is still kinda glassy, but that's what I've got a Shell Bell/Focus Sash for.
5. Starmie Nature: Timid Ability: Natural Cure Item: Life Orb Moves: Surf Thunderbolt Ice Beam Rapid Spin
Not really planning on using Starmie for sweeping stuff. I really only need it to get rid of spikes with Rapid Spin, or maybe as a revenge killer because of it's high speed. But after that, I guess I can just improvise.
6. Hydreigon Nature: Modest/Timid Ability: Levitate Item: Chesto Berry Moves: Rest Dragon Pulse Dark Pulse Ice Fang
Finally, Hydreigon. Need a dragon type in here somewhere, plus I don't think I have Dragon or Dark type moves covered yet. However, I may switch him out for a Haxorus (Or another physical dragon type) so I can have another physical fighter.
That's about it. Let me know what you guys think, I'll try to edit it as neccessary.

Swim, just a suggestion on Magnazone, Magnet Lift instead of Toxic would help you out.
For a water team, I thought of this
Leading with Kingdra, I would set up a Rainfall, giving Kingdra the swift swim ability's affect. Afterwords I would add in Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam, and Muddy water. All for veritys sake with him most likely holding a shell bell.
Second up would be Tetecruel with his new Dreamworld ability to heal in the rain. Tanking him out in SP defense, with substitute, Giga Drain, Muddy Water, and Rain Dance. Obviously a wall holding leftovers
Third would be a Kabutops with swift swim. Choiced, most likely with the attack raiser, using Brick Break, Stone Edge, Waterfall, and X-Scissor
Forth is Ludicolo for another wall. Leach Seed, Rain Dance, Giga Drain, and Substitute. Holding left overs, a super annoying wall.
Fifth is Starmie, as a SP sweeper, with Hydro Pump, Thunder, Psychic, Hidden Power(Flying) Choiced in SP attack.
sixth is Cloyster. SKill link is, the crap. Icical Spear, Rock Blast, Rapid Spin, and Shell Smash. Yeah, just thinking about it makes me love him. Kings rock to add on that just makes him more great.

Just thought I'd mention, common type teams are probably the weakest teams in competitive play, since they can all be taken down with a single weakness type...
And HZ, your team seems pretty solid...
Man, I need to get off my lazy ass and come up with my own competitive team...
EDIT: Also, don't rare candy hack. Even if they've got maxed out EVs, Rare Candies don't apply ANY ev bonuses to stats on level up, so you completely lose the point of EV training.

We were discussing gym teams/a ZV league on the last page, so I think that's what that was related to.
I know Rare Candies didn't apply EVs in 4th gen, but I think I heard they do now. Could be wrong, though. Either way, as long as you level up once the regular way before you hit 100 you should get the maximum benefit of your EVs.
