Holy crap, Nightmare said stuff about Pokemon that I can actually agree with. What is this? I don't think any type is too out there for an Eeveelution. I hope that eventually there is one for every type. I just don't think Sylveon looks like a flying type. D: Why would they make it so obscurely related to the type it's supposed to represent? And I know the types are no longer exclusively physical or special, but the trend has still held up for 5 generations. Also, this: THAT looks like a Flying type Eeevee. THAT looks like a Bug-type Eevee. We shouldn't have to speculate this much about an Eeveelution if it's a type that already exists. It just doesn't make sense. I see your point when you put it that way, but honestly I guess my faith and respect in Pokemon as a series has fallen so low it wouldn't surprise me if they made it a stupid type that doesn't make a lot of sense based on it's appearance. But I guess by that same logic I can imagine them inventing a dumb new type and making it that too. It's all equally stupid. And I don't think its a flying type Tony, mainly because it doesn't look like it can fly. Although I will say that the bows and frilly scarves remind me of the Flying gym leader Skyla. But I think they're pink bows, as in the item which powers up normal moves. Gyarados comes to mind whenever the "Doesn't look like it can fly!" logic comes into play. Pokemon fly without looking like they can all the time. Also I think it's silly to assume that this one Pokemon is the only in existence to have a potential equipped item displayed in it's artwork.

I'm not saying every Sylveon would come holding a Pink Bow, just like not every Dratini comes holding a Dragon Scale or every Chansey with a Lucky Egg. I'm only suggesting that the Pink Bows may be indicative of its type. But I guess we'll see sooner or later.

I wish people would stop bringing up Gyarados, because Gyarados is based off of a Chinese dragon, which are well known for being able to fly without wings. It's not a good argument. Gyarados's typing would come in handy if someone was trying to say a new, dragon-looking Pokemon wasn't gonna be dragon type, but that's it.
The only flying type that doesn't really look like it should be one is Sky forme Shaymin. Everything else makes sense.
Again, I never said I'm HOPING for a new type. But why would they make us speculate this much if it was just gonna be Flying type? What's so special about Flying? There's no reason for them to keep something like that hidden.

... Yeah, I'm done. I'm not gonna try and convince you anything anymore Ruin, because it's obvious that you'll just not get it. You can go on believing what you want... and we'll see what happens.

I use the Gyarados example because regardless of what he's based on, he doesn't look like he can fly. You can say he's excused because of his base but I feel like Sylveon has that same excuse, since like I said I'm almost certain it's based on a wind spirit, which by default should be able to fly regardless of whether or not it looks like it can. So I think it actually is a better argument than you're making it out to be. lawl

Ok, I want to move on from this. I'm gonna ask everyone... what is one thing you would love to see in these games? Regardless of how likely it is to happen.
Me? I would like to see the return of Wes. Maybe as a trainer you can battle in the post-game.

I want a villain that isn't "Team <Something Dumb>" with a more realistic goal.
That or Team Rocket again. Nobody's cooler than Team Rocket.
Also the abolishment of the Dragon Type. Since you said "no matter how likely it is to happen."

They kinda did that with a villain team already. In Colosseum and Gale of Darkness, the villain team is just called "Cipher". I'm not sure if their goal counts as "realistic", but it's to brainwash Pokemon through torture to turn them into an army emotionless killing machines.
Thinking about it, I'd like them to do something like that again.

I mentioned this already but what I'd like to see are the starters with secondary types that reverse the primary type's effectiveness. I think that would be really cool.
Otherwise I'll tag onto Nightmare's idea, I want Team Rocket back. Or at least some continuity between games, because they could almost all be taking place in separate universe(s) for all we know. I know they want each region to have its own legendaries and its own story (even though I feel like the sheer number of 'legendary' Pokemon has gotten out of hand, I recognize that there's no way to correct this), but I'd like some sort of story that affects the world, or at least multiple regions. I'd like to see Red and Blue and Gold and Silver characters again, not just because of nostalgia but because I feel like those characters really had potential to push the story forward. As it stands now the 'story' is at a standstill, just new region, new Pokemon, new gyms and league but the same old types, and a new villainous team with a stick up their butt for one reason or another. And I think its getting old.
Gold and Silver versions were my favorite because you got to go back and revisit Kanto something like 3 years later. I recognize that a game allowing travel between all the different regions is unfeasible, but I'd like the other regions and the people in them to still be relevant, not just never mention them again. Seriously, Prof. Oak wasn't even in Black and White, and he's the one guy that makes an appearance in ever region.
Also, enough with the bad guys only having bats and rats to throw at you. It gets boring and repetitive, and altogether too easy.

Ok, there has been absolutely no news this month... and that sucks. But it seems we won't have to worry about the same thing happening next month, because according to the official Pokemon Twitter, there will be some news being announced next week. New Pokemon? Type for Sylveon/the version mascots? Starter evolutions? Name of the region? Evil team? Reveal of Professor (Insert tree here)? It could be anything.

New Pokemon: New Eevee evolution is actually a pre-evolution, legendaries based off XYZ dimensions and the theoretical W dimension. New regular pokemons are human pokemons, farm equipment pokemon, trading card pokemons, household appliances pokemon, industrial pokemon, pokemon pokemons, you've got celebrity pokemon, car pokemon, every bug ever has a pokemon based off of it. Ancient egyptian pokemon, alien pokemons, Creationist pokemon, Ben Stiller pokemon, The Dodo Pokemon, Kellogg's cereal boxs' mascot characters are pokemon, even The Flintstones. Anime characters pokemons, PS2 pokemons. TehRandomMan, IZV, and Meowth get new evolutions.
Sylveon is actually 3 types, the starters are boring and I don't care about them. The Region's name is Chattanooga. The evil team is The Republicans turned Liberal, and the professor is Professor Fann, who appears exactly how you just pictured him. Exactly.
It could be anything, but it's probably this.

WARNING! LEVEL 10 RUMOR ALERT!Everything said in this post has not been confirmed. Please take all statements made with at least one grain of salt. Do not consider anything in this post as actual news.
According to Pokemon news site serebii.net it appears there have been some leaks showing that Mewtwo will gain a new forme in the gen 6 games that will be seen first in the movie "Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening". Until an official name is given or it is revealed as fake... I will be referring to it as Mewtwo's "Awakened Forme", based off the title of the movie.
