I have just finished the new Tomb Raider game and I loved every single minute of it. It plays something like a mix of Indiana Jones meets Resident Evil 4… And it was fantastic. The entire game is so intense that you just can’t stop. I love that Lara is portrayed as a beginner in this story, crash landed on a island with a cult that lives on it and she must fight them to get her friends back. She doesn’t start out as a badass, but she quickly learns how to fight and work her way around enormous obstacles with ease. One of my favorite parts is when you get the grenade launcher for the first time and one of the guys that’s trying to kill you shrieks in terror and yells out to his friends “HOLY crap SHE’S GOT A GRENADE LAUNCHER!!” and they run off and Lara yells after them “THAT’S RIGHT YOU BASTARDS YOU BETTER RUN!” The island is MASSIVE and there’s a ton to explore.
Even though Lara starts out tiny, frightened, and alone in this crazy place she grows into a strong heroine throughout the game and doesn’t stop growing until the end. Any game that portrays a female character in this aspect, and doesn’t over-sexualize her or make her seem like a bitch in the process, is a damn good thing to me. Its massively inspiring and you all need to play this. Or watch someone play it.

Awwww.....
So this game really is as awesome as everyone says it is.
I was a stone's throw away from pre-purchasing it from Steam, until my smaller wallet stopped me. I'm going to wait till the summer sale of steam to get it,. But I really want this game.
How's the DLC lost adventurer's tomb thing?

Slightly. Its not really that scarey but it does have that RE4 vibe to it a lot.
