I'll be honest the Roll-like design is my favorite for Call. Not just because it looks the best but because I think she should look like Roll. Beck is obviously based on MegaMan, only seems fitting that Roll and Call resemble each other as well.

/posts/610719New post to the project blog reveals two new additions to the stretch goal list and gives us our first devlog. $2,900,000: Intro Stage and Boss! We add an epic introductory stage—complete with a closing boss encounter—that players will take on before facing any of the Mighty No. boss levels! This will help ease everyone into the world of Mighty No. 9, and serve as a nice primer on the basic game systems and controls! $3,100,000: Support Character!Beck will get a faithful sidekick to swoop in with special powers at his time of greatest need! The exact form this character will take is not decided yet, so we’ll all be able to see it get conceived and designed together—but it will be some kind of assistant that will drop in for a limited time, help out in some way, and then zoom away!

With 4 days to go, as it currently stands... Kickstarter: $2,667,083 Paypal: $46,909 Total: $2,713,992At this rate, looks like we'll be getting our Co-Op Mode after all. Not to mention the latest revisions to the Stretch Goals put Vita and 3DS releases at the 3.5 mil mark, which probably is what caused this little spurt of donations. I really hope we can make it to 2.9 mil and get that intro stage, I can do without anything else after that really and this late in the game it's unlikely we'll see anything beyond that before the Kickstarter closes at least.

Maybe Inafune is going for a hybrid of all the Megaman games? I'm kinda imagining Zero, with a visor, a scarf, and a shield... well that doesn't sound bad right? And Call seems like a hybrid Ciel and Roll... wait Ciel + Roll = Coll... I guess I was way off.

I'm going to be honest here.
The $2.9 million goal is unreachable and there won't be a intro stage and boss.
I've noticed a reduction in funding from the backers, and it's not likely to increase, given there's a few more days to go till funding period ends.

Just a few more and we'll get that Support character... I'm suspecting it to be a dog like Rush.

25 hours to go, dawn of the final day
We've gotten to 3.1 mil. Honestly, this is further than anyone expected it to go. I'm very happy with how this has turned out, we've shown Capcom that their is an outpouring of support for more Megaman, and hell, there are 25 hours left for something insane to happen again if there are people who care enough about getting PS4 and Xbone versions. I'm not putting anything past this kickstarter.
EDIT: 3.3 mil. PS4 and Xbone versions incoming.

It's both cruel and genius that every time they hit the last worthwhile stretch goal they add another one that needs to be hit. This new 3.7 mil one boasts a single player stage and boss fight using Call, Beck's partner.
I doubt they'll get that far with just 15 hours to go at 3.4 mil. But I think it's safe to say we may see 3DS and Vita versions by the end of this.
Also for anyone who hasn't seen this yet...

Well I'd be darned. Tony was right. Last minute donations are really a factor to behold.
It might just seem that the $3.5 million mark can be obtained, although it's 12 hours as per writing.
EDIT After seeing the video above ...
Me just saying here - I might not be able to get the game, but that does look very enjoyable. Reminds me of my familiarity with X8.

Combined with the Paypal donations, the current funds sit at $3,765,685.
This means we get a single-player stage where we get to play as Call, and are about 45k away from that 8-bit retro chip-tunes sound track.
With just 3 hours to go though, it seems like we'd be asking a lot to hope to reach the 4 million mark and land the Online Battle Race Mode.

Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 has ceased asking for donations on Kickstarter, managing to secure over $3.8 million in a month's time. That's beyond some of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns yet, including Double Fine's $3.3 million for the Broken Age adventure game, $1.2 million for Massive Chalice, and the close to $2.3 million pulled in by Cryptozoic Entertainment's Hex. That $3.8 million figure is just counting Kickstarter donations, though. With additional pledges through Paypal, which Comcept says make up $186,380, the final amount is $4,031,550 million. Mighty No. 9 is perhaps best described as Inafune's spiritual successor to the Mega Man series. It's a retro-inspired action-platformer starring a robot boy named Beck who must battle a series of robot bosses infected with a mysterious virus. The game is planned for launch sometime in the spring of 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS,Wii U, Mac, Linux and PC. ------------------------- I'll let you know more once I gain access to the beta
