Sounds good, I believe we have 4 players currently unless you're just going to GM and not roll a character. I was reading through the manual and it said to ask the GM about the setting and how it'll relate to character creation. Are we 10 year old kids unleashed onto the world, veteran trainers, students at some university, new grunts for Team Rocket? Sorry if I'm getting ahead of myself, I usually put way too much time into character creation. The world's kind of a cross between the anime and the games, setting out age is anywhere from 14-18, but you will be new trainers. I'll just be GMing, I think it'll be difficult enough coming up with things to do without having my own player character in the mix! Though it might end up being 4 players plus GM, cause Tony said he might have someone he knows wanna join. Characters will start with 5000 pokemon dollars, or whatever you guys wanna call 'em. I'm still coming up with a starter shop for you guys to purchase stuff and whatnot before we begin. Go ahead and buy whatever you want, though I'll suggest stocking up on any travel gear you think you might need and any Crafting Sets or Kits any of your feats use before buying consumables(Though you'll need consumables too. Try and find a nice balance.) Starter pokemon will be level 5, trainers will start at level 1. My question for you guys is, do you guys have any sort of expectations for specific adventures, or locales you might wanna do? Or pokemon you might eventually wanna capture? Examples being ancient ruins, certain cities, and whatnot. Also where do you guys wanna start? Do we wanna do this in a completely new region, or base it in one of the regions from the games, like Kanto, Johto, etc? And if the latter, which one and which city would we wanna start at?

How many players are ideal for a game like this? Have you got a min/max group size in mind? And how soon would you like to get this started? Like Tony says, 3 and 7 are a good threshold. And personally I'd like to get things off tbe ground soonish. If we spend this weekend getting characters made and establishing what we all wanna do, I can spend the next week setting the game up and we can start next weekend.

For those who might be thinking about joining, I figured I'd toss the list of Pokemon that'll be eligible as your trainer's starter if you'd like to join. Note that this is quite a large list, and I'm not limiting to the official game's starters, mainly cause there's no purpose in doing so. The Grass/Fire/Water starters exist to teach new players about the type matchup system, but in this case I don't think it's necessary. So, here's that there list of starters.
Bulbasaur Chikorita Treecko Turtwig Snivy Chespin Charmander Cyndaquil Torchic Chimchar Tepig Fennekin Squirtle Totodile Mudkip Piplup Oshawott Froakie Abra Aron Azurill/Marill Bellsprout Budew Caterpie Cleffa/Clefairy Duskull Gastly Geodude Gothita Hoppip Horsea Igglybuff/Jigglypuff Klink Lillipup Litwick Lotad Machop Magby Magnemite Mareep Nidoran M/F Oddish Pichu/Pikachu Pidgey Pidove Poliwag Porygon Ralts Rhyhorn Roggenrola Sandile Seedot Sewaddle Shinx Slakoth Solosis Spheal Starly Swinub Timburr Togepi Tympole Vanillite Venipede Weedle Whismur Wurmple Zubat
Other Possibilities: Fletchling, Scatterbug, Flabébé
So there ya go. One final note, considering having a get-together with those of us who wanna play this to do a character building session, so we can all work together in getting characters off the ground and constructed, cause it's actually a pretty involved process. I'll make a post on the ZV Facebook group and here once the time and day's been decided. But don't let that stop you from starting your character building process on your own if you'd like! Everything you need is included in the PTU 1.5 package in the first post up top, and don't hesitate to ask for help or clarification! I'll probably be around either in the ZV IRC chatroom or in the ZV Discord chatroom.

We'd love to have ya! Like I said in the above post, I've personally never really done a tabletop before, though I've been reading a lot in preparation for this and I did a whole lot of reading way back when we tried ZVDnD, so hopefully I won't suck as a GM.

Hello! Tony and I have been talking a whole lot about playing this fan-made tabletop game based on Pokemon, called Pokemon Tabletop United, which will be referred to hereafter as PTU. You can find out a bit about PTU and the fan-game it was based on, Pokemon Tabletop Adventures, at this link here, though I'll explain a bit about what I know about it here too. Apologies in advance if I describe things a bit weirdly; apart from our very brief ZVDnD game that never got finished, I've never played a tabletop game before(Though my desire to is what motivates me in getting this game off the ground). Pokemon Tabletop United, PTU, is a tabletop game based around concepts introduced in the Pokemon franchise, and allows you to play as any kind of trainer you may want to. You can tackle the Pokemon League and gather badges, you can be a Pokemon Coordinator and participate in Pokemon Contests, you can just be out there to catch 'em all, or have whatever sort of made up goals you feel like. Characters and pokemon alike all have skills, like acrobatics, athletics, pokemon education, perception, intuition, just to name a few. They also each have their own battle stats, much like in the core pokemon series, with HP, Attack, Defense, Sp.Attack, Sp.Defense, and Speed. As this suggests, trainers could, if they wanted, assist directly in battles against wild pokemon or even be attacked directly by unsavory pokemon or trainers. The game is really in-depth, and there'll be a whole lot of learning for all of us involved. The core handbook(Which I don't expect ANY of you to go and read the whole thing of, only skimming or reading certain sections might be necessary) is just under 500 pages long, though a big amount of those pages are lists of stuff. There's also various expansions we can touch upon if anyone'd like. Really, not a whole lot about the campaign is set in stone yet, and I'm waiting til we get a group together to talk about these kinds of things. For example, which region would we wanna start in? Or would we wanna make up our own region? If we do do this, we'll likely be using Discord for Voice Chat while using a site called roll20.net to run the game. We could set up a monthly or bi-weekly time to have campaign sessions, but we don't HAVE to have a set in stone schedule if we can't agree on one. I realize this is a shot in the dark, but I personally really really wanna do this. If you have any questions, lemme know, Tony and I'll be glad to try and answer any you might have. You can find the Pokemon Tabletop United Version 1.5 zip file here

It's hard to say which timeline it's in, we don't have any knowledge about the lore other than Ganon seems to be back and the Temple of Time is in ruins. Sure, there's Koroks, but we've also seen the River Zoras, those bastards who shoot balls of energy at you then dive back under, appearing in not only the Defeated Hero timeline, but also in the Triumphant Hero Adult timeline(Sea Zoras were enemies in the phantom hourglass) as well as the Triumphant Child timeline(Four Swords Adventures, specifically).
What's more, they've used a whole lot of promotional screenshots based on promotional artwork from the Fallen Hero timeline, such as Link climbing the mountainside overlooking hyrule, based on artwork promoting A Link to the Past. We've also seen the link on the cliffside material from... I think it was Zelda 1? Don't have it on me right now, but eh. Bottom line is this Zelda seems to take place so far in the future that it could be part of any of the branches, and with all we know now it'd fit perfectly. We'll probably find out eventually, though. Probably.
(Though PERSONALLY I feel like the adult timeline is the least likely, cause of the fact that King Daphnes wished to wash away Hyrule, which would end up with everything underwater being destroyed BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST MY GUESS)
