Arne continued to tear through the pirates in a storm of lightning and fire. Along with him, Hien would swoop in, tears apart or scorching what flesh was still on this man-machine abominations. He drew one of his javelins and filled it with wind magic before tossing it, the simple weapon flying right through the chest of one the pirates. One pirate takes a swing at Arne, but he jumps back... placing his hand on a nearby metal sheet and charging it with electricity. As the pirate approaches, the metal on their body gets attracted to the sheet and is torn from their body in a bloody mess.
As the mysterious mage entered the fray, Arne still kept focus on the crew... cutting down any of those who felt particularly brave and tried to rush in. As Rion called for cover, Arne rushed in behind him "On it!". He slammed his halberd into the deck of the ship, causing an explosion of flame and electricity... blasting apart any pirates that attempt to give chase and hopefully preventing the others from getting any bright ideas.
The flames on his weapon die out as he lifts it back up and heads towards the unknown mage with labored breath. "I'm tired... pissed off... and the only thing I want right now is to blow this ship straight to hell!" He rushes in... halberd ready, "So get out of my way!"

Arne heartily chuckles as moves the cannon around, slowly but surely lifting the fog... visibility starting improve with each passing second. Next thing he knows, he feels some strike... him? No... it hit the canon he was holding, but with enough force to knock him over and send him tumbling into the deck's railings. Hien quickly scampers over, chirping with concern. With a groan, Arne manages to get back up to his feet, and looks over to where he was... noticing the only thing that remains of the cannon are a few pieces of scrap.
"I really should have expected that to happen. Of course standing out the open would make you an easy target." He draws his halberd and starts running towards the other ship while there was still some visibility left, Hien following closely behind. "Time for plan B!" He leaped into high into the air with one thought on his mind... if he couldn't take care of the fog like that, then he'll find the source and stop it that way. This meant fighting through whatever the hell was on that ship. Spotting some fighting that's already happening, and recognizing one of the figures involved, he figured that was a good place to start.
Bringing the axe head of his halberd down, he slams into one of the pirate approaching Aqua. Meanwhile, Hien swooped by, unleashing a wave of fire... igniting a few more.
"Sorry it took me so long to get into the action, Aqua. But I'm here to help now! How about I handle these pests while you take care of that big guy?"
He pulls his weapon from the now dead pirate's body... the blade covered in blood and oil. "Alright you freaks... you want to get to her..." Hien hovers next to Arne... exhaling a small flame onto the halberd, igniting the oil. Arne then channels lightning into he weapon... causing flame and electricity to dance across the blade. "You're gonna have to get through the two of us, first!"
Arne jammed his halberd in yet another pirtate... their body quickly consumed by fire and sparks.

Being able to plot a safe course, Arne and Hien quickly made their way down to the gun deck, just in time to witness a wave of fire strike the cannons, igniting the powder within them. While they weren't close enough to get hurt, the blast still shakes the two of them greatly. Hien falls from the sky, and Arne picks him up... walking forward a bit wobbly while his ears ring and the remaining crew begins to panic.
He shoves his way through the panicking crowd, and as soon as they clear... he looks for any cannon that is still mostly in one piece. Shaking off the dizziness he ends up finding one... a bit scorched and banged up, but it should be able to work. He let's go of Hien, who shakily takes flight, and he grabs hold of the cannon "Alright... now of the really hard part. I was able to toss Yung... I should be able to do this." With a groan he lifts the cannon up and starts to lug it back above deck. "This... probably... isn't one of... my best ideas." Hien chirps with concern, watching Arne try and carry this cannon on his own. "Don't... don't worry pal... I got this."
Arne barely makes it half way before he starts to feel tired and out of breath. Just before he's about to collapse, he suddenly feel the load lighten significantly. Two crew members had appeared and started helping him carry it. "We don't know what you want with this, but if it'll help we'll get this anywhere you want it." Arne to a quick moment to catch his breath, then spoke up. "I need to get this up top. With it, I think I'll be able to clear away the fog."
"Alright! You got it!" and with that, the three quickly carried the load above deck. Cheered on by a small wyvern.
As soon as they did, they dropped the cannon and Arne propped it up... aiming it directly upwards. "So, what exactly is this plan of yours?"
"Just watch and see. I have no idea if this will work, but it's worth a shot." Arne began to channel his wind magic into the cannon... as much of it as he possibly could. A torrent of wind start rising from the cannon, pushing away the fog. Arne starts laughing "YEAH! There we go!" and then starts moving the cannon around, clearing out the fog.

Arne scoff at Lloyd's comment and mutters under his breath "If only it was that easy." he starts thinking for a bit, wondering what his next course of action should be. First he let out a whistle... hearing it, Hien woke up and quickly came to Arne's side. But after that... "Ship is being boarded... can't see a damn thing. Maybe... maybe if I can get to the cannons, there is something I could do. But first."
He kneels down and places his hand on the deck, and sends a small amount of electricity through it. This allowed him to sense everything close by, and plan a route below deck. However, something was starting to approach, it must have heard the whistle as well. From what he could tell, it seemed to have two different legs. One had a normal rubber soled boot or shoe, while the other was... metal. "What the? Whatever. Better take care of this before moving forward"
With a quick burst of wind, Arne charged towards what he sensed, Hien following behind him, and soon came face-to-face with some kind of horrific amalgamation of man and machine, who quickly took a swing at him. Dodging to the side, he dropped down and quickly grabbed hold of the machine pirate's leg and sends electricity through it... and the rest of their body.
After letting go, the pirate falls to the deck with a load thud. Arne gets back up, and looks around... "Ok. One down. Hopefully not too many left to go."
Once again he knelt down... and began to channel his lightning through the deck, plotting his course once more.

Arne shakes his head, chuckling a little "No, no... I do have a family back home. It's just that my father had this belief of 'people should rely on their own strength over mystical nonsense'... so getting in some proper magic training was pretty difficult for me."
Arne turns his attention towards Aqua as she joins the conversation, seeming a bit excited at this idea of checking out this magic school. "Alright, sounds like a plan. Make sure ever thing is clear... then we take a look at this school."
As Aqua showed the two of them Sharksbane, he started thinking. He took the halberd off his back and started looking it over. It's a reliable weapon and served him pretty well for as long as he had it, but in the end it was still nothing but a basic weapon made of steel. Look down, his armor wasn't much better either... just simply scale mail. "I think it might be time for some upgrades..."

Listening to Terra's words, Arne begins to lighten up a bit "Yeah, you're right. My magic might be a little... off. But, I'm still pretty tough, and Hien has always been a great help to me." He thinks for a little while on her question, trying to remember exactly when it all happened. It had been a long time after all "I was pretty young when my magic first started appearing. It was... a year or two after Hien hatched, so I would have been about seven or eight. And much like you, I haven't had any true formal training. Just some advice from the occasional mage I would meet every once in a while. Finding someone who could teach us might actually be a pretty good idea."

Arne continued to look out over the ocean, lost in thought about his magic. Why couldn't he do this? Was it something he could fix? If not, what did that mean? Was he stuck with just this for the rest of life? His mind was pulled back into reality as soon as Terra began talking to him. He turns his head to look at her, "Huh? Oh... no. It's not that. It doesn't really bother me. It's just..." he looks back towards the see... trying to think of the best way to say what was going through his head. "Seeing other mages in action, I kinda feel like... my magic really isn't up to snuff. You all have already seen everything I'm capable of. I can't even do something simple, like... shoot lightning bolts or anything like that." with a sigh, he slumps over a bit... resting his arms on the edge of the ship. "Some mage I am, right?"

Arne boarded the ship, carrying a very ill looking Hien, who was only able to let out the occasional weak growl. "See, this is why you can't drink that stuff... you're small body can't handle it.". As the ship set sail, the two remained above deck... Arne enjoying the feeling of the wind and thinking the fresh air would help Hien recover.
Eventually, Hien managed to fall asleep... a nap that would hopefully heal up the wyvern's hangover. With out his companion to speak with, began to think... about the battles he has had with the others, the magic they would use and how it compared to his magic. No matter how he looked at it, his magic seemed incredibly... limited. Sure... he can do some pretty great stuff like jumping with his wind magic or charging anything he touched with lightning, but that was really it. Even things that seemed really basic, like summoning gusts of wind or firing bolts of lighting from his finger tips were just things he couldn't do. In fact, he held his hands out towards the sea... charging it full of lightning... picturing in his mind him firing of a bolt of lightning into the water. Yet... nothing happened. Trying again, he charged wind into both his hands and flung them out towards the sails. And again... nothing... not even a slight ripple in the fabric. With a sigh, he turned back towards the sea.

With the fight over, Arne turned back towards the table in time to notice Hien pop his head out of the now empty glass and stumble about the table. "Hien! I thought I-" Arne is interrupted by a series of loud chirps from his now intoxicated partner. "Don't you take that kind of tone with me! Come here!" Arne reaches out to grab Hien, only for the wyvern to shakily take to the air and head off into the bar. Arne simply sighs and looks over towards the group, "You guys can take of all the business stuff right? I need to get him under control before he causes any problems. Definitely not looking forward to caring for a wyvern with hangover tomorrow." and with that, he took chase after the drunken Hien.

Arne took a seat and started on his drink. Putting it down as they were approached by the group of ruffians. With a sigh, he gets up and faces one. "You really don't want to do this." Not heeding his words, the thugs charges right towards Arne, who effortless dodges his reckless swing and counter with a quick punch to the midsection. "Bad move." channeling wind magic into his fist, he pushes against the goon... sending him flying.
At this time, Alriik let out his cry of "BOTTLE SHOCK-IT!" and Arne backed off as the glass bottle hit its mark. Arne looked up to the second floor and Alriik "Again with the weird names. Do you always do that?"
After that, he turns his attention back to the thugs, holding up his hand as electricity arcs between his fingers... aiding in Terra's intimidation.
And while all this was happening, Hien took the chance to try out the drinks that the group had gotten. Arne normally never allows him to have any, but as he and everyone else was distracted... he stuck his head into Arne's glass, and began to lap up the beverage.

Arne didn't quite understand Alriik's explanation, but he decided not to push it... feeling it might just get the elf into an even worse state. As such, he simply decide to remain quiet as the got back into wagon and went on their way... speaking occasionally to Hien, who watched the scenery pass by from the window, happily chirping.
After arriving, Arne happily accepted his pay and head out with the group... who eventually made their way to a bar just in time to see a man being thrown out. As Terra made her way in, he looked over at Aqua and Alriik "The key to places like this is that you have to act like you belong there. Folks like this will jump on anyone who seems out of their element. Just act natural."
With these words towards his elven companions, he and Hien head in... and are met with the sight of Terra slamming someone's face into the bar. Hien chirps a bit softly... Arne replies with a bit of chuckle "Well, what's "natural" tends to change from person to person."

Arne stepped out from the carriage soon after they stopped holding onto the still sleeping Hien, the young wyverns stirs and wakes with a yawn as sunlight hit his face. "Finally awake, are you?" Arne says to his companion, letting him go as he takes to the air. Hien chirps in response, then flys over to the river... landing once there and taking a drink. Took a look around, everything seemed peaceful... for now. While he would like for that to continue, he knew it was probably not likely to happen. After Hien returns, the duo go to join the rest of the group... missing Alriik's sparring match... but showing up just in time to notice him muttering something to his weapons. "What was that about?"

Hien stares and chirps at the visor, tilting his head in confusion, as the communication ends. Taking in everything that was just said by Itham and listening to Aqua's plan, he chimes in. "You can count me in. There's no way I can't get involved with something like this after hearing about it."
The next morning, Arne exits the hotel at an early hour, holding a still sleeping Hien in his arms. His attention is immediately drawn towards the two people his new elven companion is speaking to, looking over to the more well dressed of the two "I assume you're our employer for this job, yes? I'm Arne. I've done some work like this before, so you can rest assured that you have someone with a bit of experience on it."
