If you didn't see the movie I posted in the pointless thread this is it.
No word yet on the other playable characters, so far it seems this is a hedgehog only game. Looks like Knuckles and Tails weren't invited.

I cant wait until it comes out, especially since they used the shadow with guns and cars and crap like that.

It sounds like they're just going with the 3 hedgehogs as characters. But as usual in Sonic games, they have different strengths and powers.
From the sound of things, Sonic will be the same as he's always been. Fast.
It seems they've made Shadow into this game's "Knuckles." They traded his speed for power, guns and cars.
And Silver is this psychic dude. Nuff said there.

A look at the gameplay with Sonic and Silver. Sonic is fast, attacking with his jumps and everything we've come to expect. Silver from the looks of it, is slower than anyone ever expected. Attacking with his psychic abilities he seems incapable of running. He can however lift crap with his mind and hurl it and seemingly hover for a short time.
Haven't seen Shadow played yet but I'm guessing he's slightly slower now too and probably the only hedgehog that drives cars and shoots guns.

So Tails is in the game. I'm assuming that he, Knuckles and the rest of the crew make cameos but are not playable, is that correct?

No need to make drastic assumptions like that when the game hasn't even come out yet. And Tails looks fine to me...I'm pretty sure this is the one that's comin out for PS3 and the 360, hopefully on the Wii...the Sonic game I posted the other day is a Wii exclusive, though. |

Assumptions nothing, the bugtesting things were actually true, because the demo of the X-Box 360 version (which is just a slightly touched up E3 version) AFAIK was released on X-Box Live.

A 5 minute trailer showing some stuff we didn't see before. Sonic and Shadow riding motorcycles and such. Just some new stuff worth watching.
Supposably all the cut scenes from Sonic's story. May contain spoilers. If you don't wanna see then start the movie and minimize the window so you can hear the re-mastered sky sanctuary zone music. It kicks so much ass, I love that song so much. And Sonic running from the missiles carrying the princess looked so... awesome. God, I love that music.
The scene by the lake is really beautiful too, they put a lot of work into that.
