You're welcome. More art in your free time.
But just try for only one time, try using blank paper. Just give it a try. No harm done even when it's on your own preference.

It's not like I never use blank paper. I use blank paper for the serious stuff I start at home and for stuff I do in art classes. But most of the drawings I actually like are done at school, and as such are on lined paper.

Oh, I see. Well then, is it in any way risky to draw at home and be serious too?

Eh, never mind. I'd stop here before I get misunderstanding on things.
Anyways, more art where possible. I await the wonders.

Double post for update! We just finished the self portrait section in my Art class, and I have two pics in particular to show for it. Both were done by drawing the plain black and white value drawing with charcoal then going over it with pastels. First, a plain self portrait. Next, and epic self portrait. We had to draw ourselves with some expression on our face, and I happened to go ahead and give myself a beard while I was at it. And just because: a comparison pic.

That second one is one of the most epic things I've ever seen.

Nightmare says epic, but I find strange.
More practise on self-expression.
It is nice though to get a picture of how you would look like.
The first one.

The second one actually looks more like the me than the first. If you take away the beard and such, that is. It was drawn straight from a photo, so the only way I can think of "working on self expression" is finding better ways to contort my face...

The second one is better by far. It's everything everyone would ever hope to be.
The first one is good too, but it's plain. Epic FTW.

No beard and moustahe rules in this case.
Otherwise, yeah, you have to work some more on your facial details.

Which reminds me of those old times where you place a paper on your face and draw out the shape of your face, or take a thin plastic sheet, pull it over you face and dump powder or flour on the sheet, take it out and walah! Your face!
Moustache and beard, huh? XD I seriously like that btw.

Don't dis the epic FanWriter. He might bite your head off, spit it in the Volcano, then feed what's left of you to his beard, so that it may accuire sustinance and grow much bigger into a fuller, more epic beard of win.
And I think he captured the facial details really well, actually.
