It could be that, or that the line is going through the mech due to this just being done in pencil...
If done in ink, it wouldn't seem virtual at all...

I think a virtual simulation would best explain the scene, regardless if the pencil or ink was used. Nice use of angles though. They are pretty consistent with each other.

If Al says it isn't a virtual simulation, then it wouldn't best explain the scene...
Judging from the cracks and scratches on the tiles on the ground and the walls, I would have guessed it to be some kind of arena. Looks more like some kind of cage match (cept without the cage) where people watch this guy fight robot dealies through the glass.
Anyhow, looks good Al. I agree, the angles look nice.

Originally it was just meant to be the arena, then I felt like adding the guy and bot, and then made it look like an arena... I was actually planning to have a fourth panel (there's three there, including the main scene), where there was another significant character, and he was meant to be in the spectator stands.
