Okay, my mother has found an offer for a Sprint Satellite TV package that comes with Broadband internet (1.5 Mbit/s) plus movie channels such as STARZ for 3 months, all at $75 monthly payment for the first year.
The question is: Should I agree with my mother on getting the package or should I stuck with Comcast cable (which we get a healthy selection of channels) and Broadband internet provided by them?
She says that "If it goes up after a year, we'll just go back to Cable" and yet I feel that if I go with this package I'll get a worser, limited connection (Comcast has near-unlimited bandwidth limits) who doesn't do crap trying to hide anything. Worse yet, I feel the modem we'll get won't be able to be hooked up to a router.
Should I go with it?
EDIT: Should I go with my mother's decision, I will have NO INTERNET or TV for an entire week or more.

I didn't even know you could get Broadband along with a satellite. I have a satellite with DSL, and it's a pretty good deal. But if you think it's better sticking with cable then stay with it. It also depends if you guys are willing to keep the movie channels after 3 months. If you are, then go with the satellite.
Edit: AND if you're willing to go without TV and internet, but that's basically up to you, whether you have that sort of patience or not. I'm really not going to vote, I'll just give you the two sides of it. But I have satellite, and it's good.

There's a poll for a reason. I'll check back in a few minutes after I've played Super Monaco GP on the school PCs for a bit ^_^
