And unlike the original series it respects the rules of the game. |

No way! I barely watch the GX one, its all about stupid little school boy crap, when in Yu-Gi-Oh the threats were real, if u lost you'd get screwed and get your soul taken away. Besides, Ive always liked the one with Yami better, so seeing stupid little boys (plus one with green hair wtf?) just isnt as good. All hail the original Yu-Gi-Oh! (O and i liked the drama! What was so bad about that?)

I think Yu-Gi-Oh was better. It was much more original and unique. I'm not a big fan of the GX series. agreed |

I personally like the GX series.
That and the only beef I have with YGO is that 2 of Obelisk's effects are NOT the actual card's effects:
Ability to destroy every magic card when attacking.
Ability to attack even when a card says it can't.

Obelisk's effect is sacrifice 2 monsters on your side of the field to do 4000pts of direct damage to your opponent.

You know what I meant....I didn't mean real compared to real life...I meant that as in they were in "real" danger, like if they lost, they'd lose their soul. In GX everything is in the safe confines of their school....and the main character from GX isnt much better than Yami in terms of circus freak, just look at his two-tone hair....and that kid the green hair is like wtf...o and the kid that looks like a koala...what do you call them, normal looking? At least most of the characters from Yu-Gi-Oh look normal...except maybe Yugi...

Yu-Gi-Oh (regular) was good, but the constant danger of "if you lose this game YOU WILL DIE" got a bit repetitive like Dragonball Z, only there was no long-lasting flavor.

Yeah, as said by the person above--it wasn't interesting to me because the threats WERE there, but they hardly permanently happened to the good guys...and good point about the Koala guy. xD
