no! It's free! on this server atleast..
It's good, you gain exp fast enought so you wont get bored, but not too fast either so you could make a lvl 100 character in a day.. (maybe a week if you'd play 24/7..)
Its not crowded either, so i'd say it's perfect if more players join...

anyway if you've had problems getting it work you probably won't anymore..

go to your RO folder and create a new folder called "BGM" unpack the music there.

And to register.. start playing the game and when it asks you for the username/password:

Simple, just type in the desired user name with a _M or _F at the end. M stands for Male and F stands for female. The type in your desired password, that'll be used for the rest of the time when you log on the server. After registering, you don't need the _M or _F at the end of your account name.

Guild Ranks!:
Rank #1 = 1-1 job

Rank 4 = 2-2 job + quest(slayer) certain amount of devotion

Well, it would help.. Alot of the files you have to download for RO are huge. I think the RO file itself is almost 1GB, if i'm correct.. But yes, high speed internet connect would do a deal of help playing RO. The graphics and originality are superb, its a really great game. Its a challenge, its fun. I think everyone should at least give RO a try .

yeah it 800mb'ish.. but the game itself doesn't need much.

Windows XP users: If you can't get the game to work, use the Windows 98 type settings. Worked for me then.

Oh, on Sakray my character's name is "Tau Cain" and feel free to ask for heals unless I'm in the middle of Payon Dungeon.

Tip for starters: When you go to the Usher in the castle nearby where newbies spawn, choose "TAKE ME TO PRONTERA!" and look around the South part of the town. I might be somewhere around there when online.

what do you do when you load up the game client(IRO) and when you agree by lcicking ok to the rules it gives you an error that says unexpected progrma error has occured? Any idea on what this is.

and it gives me this message when i try to play illusion

Cannot find the address of AIL_quick_load_and_play()

then the autoupdate thing loadsa nd it says this when i try and strat game

The dynamic link library binkw32.dll could not be found in the specified path C;\{rogram Files\Gravity\RO;.;C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT\system;C:\WINNT (then it repeats them last 2 a few times) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared (and the same about backburner 2 and quicktime)

Comparison of Job-changing:

Illusion - One Job changer, but you get sent to the specific job's guild and then tested there before you become the job you wish to be.

Sakray - One Job changer in Prontera. No tests required. You get the look as soon as you confirm the job you want.

Illusion - The Job changer is the real only way to go to places like Payon.

Sakray - For new people, simply entering the castle and talking to the Usher can get you to Prontera.

Illusion - Large environments, few Kafras.

Sakray - Lots of places to go, a LOT of Kafras.

Illusion - Tips of the day are untranslated.

Sakray - Tips of the day are translated.

Illusion - Taekwon class.

Sakray - No Taekwon class.



One thing still confuses me: HOW on Earth do you make Female characters? I'm planning to have my next Sakray character to be a female. (I've seen people with female characters. Yes, ReaVer, Sakray has those too.)
