The answer to that is simple my friend. Edit the hair until you can connect is with the helmeted ponytail. Make it look like how you originally wanted it.

Now that is neat. Very good. Now it's time to add some more details in that. I do not think that the fiery aura should have those line-stretched lines extending fom it. Maybe they can stay but they ned more width and perhaps a little darker red.

I just noticed something on your sprites. The shoulders look a little too bulky. Oh and you need to change the colors of the shoulders also. Try to change them into the color of the white feet.
