how about adding a rule: No original megaman character names! "why", you ask?? zero zero003 zero01 Zero09 ZERO Zero2 Zero Zero4ever Zero55411 Zero92 Z3R0 zero99 zeroexe Megaman Megaman21xl megamanx megamanzero MegamanZero megamanZero I hope this answers your question. I have a (sugeusted)edit to that rule:if you use the exact name of a megaman game character, the speech patterns in your posts must make you sound like an actor payed to immitate said character.in other words:take on a character's name, take on that character's persona.Hope that's at least commented on.(If you call yourself "Zero",X series Zero."MegaMan Zero",Zero series Zero)

I've always believed that anyone can have whatever name they want, so long as it's inoffensive.

Yeah we don't really mind if you're a video game character. Sonic has been Sonic since before I came here. The thing with Sonic is that he's the only one, theres no S0nic or sonic or Son1c or Sonic94 or any of that.
In any case, Reaver wasn't trying to tell you that you couldn't have freedom of names, he was simply trying to express that its damn confusing when you say, "well zero did this in the chat" and someone interrupts and says, "wait, which zero are we talking about" and then you're like "it was zero193" and the other guy is like "wait, is he the one that has those green megaman sprites" and you're like "no, that guy is zero4824, zero193 is the dude that sings country music in the pointless thread." and the other guy is like "oh yeah i know who you're talking about. so what'd he do?" And then you continue your story "so zero193 turns to M3gamanzero and ZERO and tells them to shoot themselves in the leg" and the other guy is like "no wha? who the hell are they??" and shoots himself in the head.
Luckily, none of the 1989391831 versions of Zero are active posters so this isn't so much an issue. Like Nightmare said, name yourself whatever you want but you are encouraged to create your own identity.

Well, original names are nice, but not necassery. I mean, having a name without numbers and not something like "SuPaR MaN" and without all those 'special signs' like ! and ? that's nice, but you don't need to have that.
On the other hand, I would hate to see a board with people named all about the same.
Oh, and by the by, thanks for reminding me I need to change my name again, Slayer. =)

Yeah, that'd be a living hell.
"Did you see Zero today?" " Yeah. I'm Zero." "No, the other Zero." "Which Zero? Fat Zero, Thin Zero, Small Zero"...ect.
You get the point.

Here's a new rule.
[glow=red,2,300]SPELLCHECK YOUR POSTS.[/glow]
I'd like to know that our board is respectable and above all not full of braindead jellyfish.
example: hi lolz wat is ur name? ^^^^^Not Acceptable.^^^^^
Note from Toy: Reaver is a prime example of this. Another Note from Toy: I've had my fun with my little "War on Tony" and now it got boring. So i'm modifying this post in goodwill that he doesn't invoke my ire again.
Those that do something incredibly egotistical or bigoted like.. claiming rank on someone in order to "enforce" rules will just cause me to PWN you harder.
This doesn't include against me, this goes against anybody. I will strike down with vehemence anybody who pulls Rank Crap on newbs or regulars alike.
This is the creed of the Misfit: Defend the Defenseless, Smite the Unjust.
So mote it be. *Bows slightly.*

But I am, and I think that should be a rule. Seriously, I know it's "easier", but it makes the poster look like a moron.
Then again, I've said that since I've been here and no one has listened to me on it, so it doesn't really make a difference now, since no one is going to listen to it anyway, even if a Staff member put it up as an actual rule.

Well if the poster wants to look like a moron then let him... Now let it rest.
edit: @toy: Stop saying words...

Unless people spell bad a lot, we don't need a rule for spellchecking. I can live with a typo here or there. And spelling mistakes don't hurt anyone as long as you can understand what is written and that person doesn't make too many mistakes.

I have to agree with that. Those people that make small typos would be excused. But people who type like they're a spazz need to calm tf down and spellcheck.
