The link to my stash of pencil arts.
Roughly based on a series of fanfics I made and then, it grew into a small idea of a comic based on another forum site.
LINK SHUT DOWN

in a general skimming, the art isnt puke worthy, but there is waaaaaaayyyyyyy to much going on in each page. way way way to busy. and the writing didnt catch my intrest.
Going by Dray scale =P
Your a bit better then i would have thought so for teh artwork itself, 5-6/10
teh page layout/comic/writing, 2-3/10

MAJOR EDIT AFTER CONSIDERABLE THOUGHTS
To Vi2usboy - Let's just say that the ban is a prerequisite for something you, like ordinary religious and/or non-religious folk around consider outrageous and blasmephous.
You don't want to get angry for no reason because of my claims, such as "I met a representative of God, had a talk with him and this is what I must do", do you?
To Dray - I appreciate the rating, but if I were to go into deeper details, let's just say we don't want another flame war due to misunderstanding, lack of patience and total temper hormones, do we?
I am afraid I cannot accept your rating because simply I find myself more skilled in pencil arts than you, I suppose. Once again, I reinforce the fact that this is an advice and a critique, NEVER A FLAME ATTACK.

me? i have NEVER claimed to be a good artist. I suck at it. All i claim is that i enjoy it. And this isnt a thread about my work its one for you. ALso i dont try comics like that (drawn that is) and what i say stays. IMO you overcrowd your pages. Its a simple fact, drawings themselves arnet bad, but when compared to people like Program or Ztrl, YOU have a long way to go.
Not Flame, just Advice.

Thank you for the words. But everyone has his or her own style. Program is plain Program, and she has yet to make a comic, so I'm afraid your little comment is deemed invalid.
The same goes for the case of zrtl; I never has seen him draw by hand.
There's also logisitical issues when handling a project. Time, paper, pencil supplies, ideas, time factor again... So naturally I feel I'm good enough at the current way of handling a comic.
So I don't need anyone to come in and have a say on this. Handling comics especially hand-drawn is way tougher than sprites, I still believe.

Just curious, how would you rate your own art?

I roughly base them on my previous works, except for Pages 51 and above. But still, they all have roughly distribution of unviersal values and holds but not too much. You know, pity, poverty, sadness, why life is so hard, family deaths that kind of stuff.
But as of yet, I have yet to insert some real slots of horror of life and matters concerning those in the comic. I also consider in effort that I put in to them. Likewise I still rate myself strictly. But I am still not satisfied.
Lenient - 78/100
Non-Lenient - 54/100.

Fanwriter, Dray is giving constructive criticism. If you "cannot accept" his said criticism, please don't post your work.
On ZV we don't allow any critisicm not deemed "constructive" so there's no reason anyone should complain about the critisicm they recieve on their artwork.

I agree what Dray says, it's like the comic page is filled to last inch.
Also, you should study the facial structure of anime characters and reploids closer, in alot of cases the heads are deformed(in lack of a better term). ;D
Also.. Lumine's personality is completely OOC.

Well, I tend to fit pages right up to the tip because of my habit of not wasting paper, since that was what Dray's talk was about mainly.
I do not know exactly how allocating free space on the paper so they are not placed with drawings can make me on par with Program or Zrtl, since Dray said "IMO you overcrowd the pages too much. Compared to Program and Zrtl, YOU have a long more way to go". Furthermore he did not provide a clear example as to how I should better myself.
If any of you guys can show me what is wrong, by all means, go ahead. I eagerly wait your explanation.
To Milver - It has been a sad long history for me trying to match up to the conventional anime style. Tried since 12 and later found it I simply cannot improve further. That's why I said to Ruinaru I am still not satisifed, no matter how hard I try. Sad... I wish I can.
What's OOC stand for?

ah, well for example the amount of speech bubbles. If you compare the #51-60 to.. lets say #39 you'd see the difference, but thats not a completely bad thing.. Also you leave no spaces betveen the panels. And for the last example you completely filled the backgrounds of the last 2 panels of #41, I don't see any need for that. So overall; you could leave some white to other areas than the speech bubbles alone. :P I hope that makes sence... I suck at explaining things... >.<
and OOC = out of character

Ah, number 51 onwards... they ARE spaces between panels. Those things called borders are hard to draw, mind you, so I've done my best for those that were done. Even up till number 70 and above. They may sem small but panel border spaces are there. And also, some panels were designed to overlap at certain parts to .... hm, how do you say ... be more different.
And of course you're surprised to see Lumine out of character. You've never read the AAS fanfictions before. The whole Deviantart account is roughly dedicated to the fanfics, except for number 51 and above.

what i meant, which you obviously didnt get, was teh artwork itself didnt impress me as much as stuf like Ztrl's or Programs. That why you got 2 seperate scores, take the artwork out of a comic format on a standalone basis i give it a 5-6. i gave the Comic itself, (which includes things like layout, artwork and writing) a 2-3. For reasons stated above.
I of course have no problem with OOC chars, as anyone can tell from any of my FF works.

All along, you made me think that the lack of space and panel borders were the main issues here of your critique. I advise you to get straight to the point next time.
Such as "I am not impressed with your artwork", not like "IMO you overcrowd your pages. Its a simple fact, drawings themselves arnet bad, but when compared to people like Program or Ztrl, YOU have a long way to go."
In that case, of course no one is going to be impressed with pencil arts and stuff. Everyone goes for computer Paint works whatsoever particularly because of graphics. How can pencil arts be particularly improved then?
Although the graphics is not as good as computer works, but at least for those pencil artists, they have total say over what to do. I have done my best, and I hence see no more improvement.
