I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Capcom just scrapped the project without Inafune there, the thing is his baby, they never would've considered making L3 without his nagging.

And the good part is that there are many teams in the company who have been trained to be adept in making the game.
With the new girl having been voted in, let's hope for more good plots and excitements.

And the prototype version is available for download with 200 yen. Of course, it should be in English for those outside Japan to play it.

Thats some old news xD
Its really kind of wishy washy. Not many people have a 3DS, so they can't expect a large amount of sales like they would anticipate if it were on, say, the PS3 where most people have one. As well, for those who Have a 3DS that I've talked to say that they just want to play more games in 3D. WIth this coming out early in 3DS's line, there is a fair chance for it.

The troll face is indeed appropriate. Capcom has gone to the dogs, only X9 can restore my faith in them.

I am really really really not okay with this. Though I kind of saw it coming.
I think Capcom is more or less done. They're kinda ruining everything they got going for them.

The fighting games might carry them....
But yea...this really is a massive screw you.
*sigh* I'm just depressed over this.
I think we need to try to organize a campaign to get them to recognize that we really do want the game.

They already know we want it Nick. Never before has a game involved this degree of fan participation, they've got legions of fans drafting up new characters, dungeons and boss encounters, basically doing Capcom's work for them. And yet I'm already anticipating they'll blame the cancellation on not enough participation, saying they won't make enough money to justify the effort.
Well now they won't. I really don't understand this move, even from a business standpoint. If anyone needs to work to get back in their fan's good books right now its Capcom, but they've got this crazy idea that we need to first make them happy before they consent to make games for us.
I don't even think the fighting games will carry them, after MvC3 I don't see them making another fighter for awhile, and Resident Evil needs something new to the franchise if they want to keep that cash cow going. Not saying Capcom is in danger of going under, by no means, just that they've managed to piss off a hell of a lot of people. They need to get some public relations team to throw us a bone or something, they are not sitting pretty at the moment.
