heck yes. i defentely like this series.
i think that girlfriend of light's is a little whacked in the head though.

Light is an expert player, he masterfully manipulates almost everyone until the very end... And I think what he did was the right thing... It be what I would probably do. Though I wouldn't want to kill the police if I could help it (corrupt cops, ok, but legit ones no way.) And I wouldn't give the note away. That just asks for trouble because it requires communication and most communication can be traced.
(phone conversations, email etc...)

The one thing they could've done to make catching Kira that much easier: Signal tracking... They were constantly using cell phones.
But then we wouldn't have had such an amazing series to enjoy. =D

Watch it anyway cause it's pretty good. And I don't know if anyone else has heard this yet or not, but apparently they're producing a 3rd live action deathnote show and a oneshot manga set some time after the anime ends...

acually... spoilers alert!
light yagami in the last episode is seen running up a metal tower,but that shimigami kills light when he's jusst about to get up a set of stairs. its strange though.

Actually, that just says he died, though that may not be much of a spoiler by itself due to the fact of needing to connect everything in the whole entire series to make it the biggest Death Note spoiler ever.

I finished this series a long time ago, it was awesome! The smartest anime I've ever seen, people dying left to right, manipulation, mystery GAH it was awesome! No Anime could ever beat the suspense and awesomeness of it!
Yes, there's a movie coming out about it with real people. They look weird though, being all Jap people, but then again, it fits the story alot better than if it were American's or something.

I barely started reading it. It's awesome. I'm at the part where Light is trying to kill the FBI Agent's fiancee but he doesn't know how to get her real name.

I would recommend watching the anime over reading the manga. There's a couple parts taken out of the Anime in the second half of the series, but the anime is just so damn captivating and suspenseful.
