Other M appears to be mixing gameplay styles. It looks very interesting, and it also appears to be starring a new main character...not sure how I feel about that.

Damn that looks sexy, but I'd expect nothing less from the people responsible for Ninja Gaiden. Can't wait to play it. Looks like she was fighting Sylux at one point, and if I'm not mistaken its his ship that follows her after Prime 3.. So does this game take place after the Prime series? And have we any word of a plot/new gimmick besides an overhauled play style? Is this for the DS?
And why do you think there's a new main character? The fleet commander calls Samus 'lady' as a term of endearment.

Considering Metroid Fusion, its pretty much easy to assume that thats Adam.

It looks like a new person cause a chick introduces herself as Samus Aran, and appears to be Samus, and is talking to the person in the power suit, it looks like...
Regardless, this looks fun actually. I might actually play it... Granted the last time I said that about a Metroid game, I ended up hating it, I might give the series another chance when this comes out...

I'm pretty it was Samus in the suit introducing herself, not the other way around, since it showed her when the words were being said, but it's hard to tell.
Also, most believe believe that Adam died before Metroid 1, but it's never officially stated. A lot of people are thinking this takes place between Prime 3 and Super, and they think it may include some flashbacks. One hint towrds that is the short-haired Samus in the beginning.

I knew it when he said "any objections lady?"
also it looks all 3d anime-y
oh and I dont think it's really a new character. I think it might be like a double of samus or something complicated.
ALSO! NOOO SAMUS SPOKE!!!!

Samus had dialogue (in the form of journal entries) in Fusion, too. There's also a whole Metroid manga.

I totally disagree. Not only does her voice sound like that blond actress from Chicago, but it ruins the fantasy and the atmosphere of the games.

Just looking at the art style, you can tell they aren't going for the same mystery and darkness that was prevalent in most of the other games.
I'll agree, I think Samus should have a slightly darker, deeper voice. But I'll get over it. It's possible that wasn't even Samus talking, but the scientist speaking. It could be some sort of Samus double like the Metroid series is so fond of creating (Dark Samus, SA-X).

I wish Retro was still working on the games.
