And it is one of the coolest FS's so far. Flying off the stage with a helicoptor and grenade launcher.

Today's update is nothing special: Just Olimar & Pikmin's specials.

Cool, seems Olimar uses a squad based mechanic when fighting, not to mention that all the Pikmin does something different when used.

Something called 'Challenges', complete them to unlock thing... I'm not sure what else to say.

It's pretty much exactly the same as what was in Kirby Air Ride, which isn't surprising given how similar the menu system as a whole is to Air Ride's.
When you meet the requirements to unlock something, whichever one of those squares corresponds to that achievement will break open, and you can see what you have to do to unlock the adjacent squares. As you unlock more stuff, more and more things will be revealed to you.
The hammers basically let you get a few for free.

And I'm guessing thats how you'll unlock characters, too.

It's not really a new method of unlocking stuff. It just helps you keep track of everything and helps you figure out how you unlock stuff.

Beats resorting to strategy guides or online help. And the hammer system might come in handy if they have a really hard objective. I hope I don't have to use the hammers though, I think you'd get more satisfaction actually beating the objective instead of just getting the reward for free.

Indeed. There were some really hard ones in Air Ride, though. ><

They updated with a pikmin planet complete with a weird item system, torrential downpours and big creatures that want to eat you.

Wait, again??! Dammit, I missed that the first time I checked the page. That really pisses me off, I had already taken the 10th and the weekend after that off. Dammit, dammit, dammit.
