Brawl is mostly a crossover game, but they also want to teach the specific history of the characters you're playing with, so yeah it has something to do with Brawl.
From what I can tell, there are going to be some demos of certain VC games on Brawl, possibly as an unlockable.

More stuff with the menu, although I know I'm going to have a fun time with stage editor.
Also, I was doing some stuff on Wiki and found out that Krystal from Star Fox is also rumored to have an appearance in Brawl, as Alesia Glidewell, the American voice actress who played Krystal in Assault, stated on her website that she voiced Krystal in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This statement was removed from the site shortly after being released so apparently Nintendo caught it and had it taken down. I personally doubt she'll be playable but there's a chance.

Appologies then, its the first I've heard of it.
And I don't think anyone is complaining about the demos themselves, just the fact that Dojo wasted a potentially good update with something not as interesting.
Edit: Holy balls, that's a lot of music. I wonder what the average number of songs per stage breaks down to...

That was.. unexpected. I liked a lot of the scenes in there, like Mario and Link running side by side, Fox doing a barrel role as he headed through the lazers.. Good find HZ.

Wewt, Ness and Marth are back. We already knew about Ness (sort of) but it's nic to know Marth is definately in.
Didn't see Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, or Luigi there... We know Jigg's is in, Capt. Falcon is practically in without question, and there's no way they can take Luigi out. Which means those three are probably unlockable... But why would they make L, J, and CF secret again and not Ness?

Well, bunch of spoilers have been poping up all over the place. Captain Falcon, Game & Watch, Gandondorf, Falco, and Luigi are making a return. Along with a new character... R.O.B. Spoilers be here. |

So now we know all the characters except the final third party character.
I am in awe over these cutscenes, they're so awesome.. And I'm pissy that Japan gets this in a day and a half..

Aaacutally, there is one more character that has just been leaked... *SPOILER*and that would be Star Wolf*SPOILER* and thus maybe ending the roster, so no Megaman no Zero.. which makes me die a little bit on the inside... Why did they not put Megaman in instead of freakin R.O.B. how lame..
