Nah, the final form is cooler than a gorilla. It looks kinda like a martial arts master or something, I don't really know how to describe it. Try looking on http:/www.serebii.net
And at the time of this post, my Torterra is 36 and I just got my 6th badge. My other two strong pokemon are a lvl 36 Luxray and a 37 Staraptor.

SPOILER (highlight to read)
I got an ultimate shock and till now i'm still left collapsed on my seat......guess what? Diamond and Pearl pokemon....it's unbelievable..pokemon which won't evolve will evolve, and pokemon which can only evolve once can evolve again..do you think magneton and rhydon can evolve again? It's impossible. But at these new versions, they made it possible!
Plus, there's a total of 13 legendary pokemon to be captured in Diamond and Pearl!!! Can you believe that? And Lucario isn't one of the legendary pokemon!
It's just....i can't believe the vast change of pokemon though...seriously.....

I liked it when there were 151...it was slightly easier then. I think I might get some roms for these new games
EDIT: do the new ones even use roms?

The GBA games do. And how's this for news?:
Pokemon Breaks Sales Records Diamond and Pearl sell through one million copies in five days. by Matt Casamassina
April 26, 2007 - Nintendo of America today announced that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have combined sold through more than one million copies in the five days since they released in America. This is, according to the subsidiary, the fastest rate that any Pokemon titles have sold at launch in the U.S. since the inception of the franchise.
Nintendo said that more than 500,000 people pre-ordered copies of the games, contributing to such a strong launch. The company believes that the two titles will ultimately become some of 2007's best-selling efforts.
On June 25, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be able to link with the Wii-exclusive Pokemon Revolution, at which point the DS can act as a controller. Players who collect Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl will be able to use import those creatures into the console version.
More than 155 million copies of Pokemon games have sold worldwide since the franchise began its life more than a decade ago.
