Square fails hard at web design. Really hard. They like to use Flash for EVERYTHING and their link are almost always big huge images that take forever to load. I literally couldn't navigate their main site before I got my new computer.
Anyway, Shadow Lord would be a cool addition as an FFXI rep. Or a generic adventurer.

Some info from Jump Festa, nothing 100% confirmed as of right now as far as I'm concerned.
New Stages: Phantom Train from ffVI Empyreal Paradox from ffXI
Also, a trailer that hints at a new character by showing their feet. Many claiming it to be Yuna. I'm skeptical.

Info from the Square Enix 1st Production Department Premier.
It seems that one of the new characters recognizes Bartz, so someone from ffV is highly possible. But we didn't see them, so not sure who it is. And...
/me repeatedly head desks. *
Prishe from ffXI has been confirmed
/me continues head desking. *

More info on the mystery ffV character. I was able to get into the stream of the trailer and in the part where they "appear" it shows Bartz walking around in The Rift when a strange portal in the sky opens up and an obvious male voice speaks to him.
So, unless Galuf for some unexplained reason started traveling via rifts in reality after his death... it's a very good chance it's Gilgamesh.

Ok, last bit of info from me. They released some kind of prologue thing for Duodecim on the PSN after the event. Currently it's only available in Japan, but hopefully it will be released here soon. Also, it seem that downloading this will unlock Aerith as an assist only character in the actual game.
And now... a few pictures. First off we have.... /me face desks. * Prishe... I don't hate her... I just wish they added a villain instead. Also, ignore the text... the person was streaming it from NicoNico and didn't know how to turn of the scrolling comments.
From the previously mentioned prologue... Stan's 3rd alt. He likes swords... OF LIGHT!
Just who is that with... /me face desk. * Prishe? Looks kinda like helmetless Stan... but with the quality as bad as it is and what little we see of him, I'm not too sure.
Bartz and the mysterious talking hole in existence that will most likely result in the appearance of a Gilgamesh of some kind.

Found some info about Gilgamesh's EX Mode, he uses one of eight weapons each with their own effect.
Excalibur: x2 Damage.
Excalipoor: Damage reduced to 1.
Naginata: Increases attack range.
Masamune: Hits generate more EX Force.
Genji's Katana: EX Gauge depletion.
Zantetsuken: Possible one hit Brave Break.
Battle Axe: Random damage.
Chicken Knife: Damage increases when HP is low, and also apparently makes chicken noises.
Personally... This sounds damn awesome.
