www.phonebloks.com/-------- This is a really cool concept and I think it could really revolutionize the way cell phones are made.

Motorola is teaming up with them, more than likely to avoid copyright infringement, but this is very very cool news!

This is an awesome idea but my sister raised a good point when I showed her this when she said "This is an awesome idea, but the hard part isn't going to be getting manufacturers like Motorola on their side, it's going to be getting service providers to support these. Verizon and AT&T and the like aren't likely to back the idea and provide service for these new phones because they'll lose all kinds of money if they can't force you to buy a new $500 phone every couple years."
Which is true. But hopefully if this gets popular enough other smaller phone service providers will take it on/spring up to make up for it, and if it gets big enough the big companies may be forced to adapt to keep from losing customers.

Google is a pretty big deal and already has a lot of really good partnerships with the phone companies so we;ll just have to wait and see, but I feel like this could really take off if they market it right.

Its a kick ass idea. As nerdy as it makes me it kinda feels like the a navi customizer from Battle Network. I've also felt that Cell phones were soon to be exactly what a PET was. EITHER WAY, this stuff is tight yo.
