The spider squealed and retracted its legs from Terra's firey grasp, and dug them into the dirt to put out the flames. It spit acid at the oncoming fireball, putting it out in a puff of smoke before it reached its eyes. The spider then quickly retracted its hind legs and burrowed again, only to reappear further away.
It climbed out of the ground completely this time. It's body was massive: large enough to fill Yung's arena. Spindly black hairs and pulsating purple veins ran down its legs and covered its body. Green saliva poured out it's mouth and down it's fangs in a disgusting slober. From it's abdomen a thick bright green string shot and spread out, covering the ground between it and Terra. A drop of acid fell from one of the strings, and fried the grass and dirt below. The spider seemed intent on building a trap, as it soon shot another web out, directly at Terra's position.
~
The dragon swooped down, flying low and slow circles around the area. Each head turned and assessed the area independently, and would blast fire, lightning, or acid about recklessly and violently. One head turned to see the elf who'd broken onto the scene earlier, only to be met with a lightning bolt in the face. However, the beast wasn't phased by an attack of it's own element, and hardly felt a thing. Another of the heads noticed the armor clad elf carrying ice-missile glyphs in each hand, charging right into their path.
The last of the heads sensed the lightning throwing elf was upon them with a blade. Quickly the mighty wings flapped and forced the airborn elf away with a turbulent gust. As the force raised it up, the other elf's icicles passed below it harmlessly, embedding in some trees in the distance and melting in the columns of fire. All three heads reared up at once and filled with their respective magic breaths.
The beasts tail flicked down below, quick as light, and struck the ground, throwing up piles of rock, dirt, tree and bone. The mouths then spit at the airborn detritus, resulting in a colorful explosion that hurled burning, shocking, and acidic shrapnel at the two elves who dared approach.

Aqua stumbled back from the dragon's wind pulse even from how far away she was, then dove for cover when she saw it's heads rear up. Various pieces of refuse smashed around her and pelted her. She grunted as one particular piece smacked squarely in her back. It must have been charged with lightning, as she felt the pain through her whole body and it flicked her visor off and back on. She rolled immediately to put out any flames or acid that were eating at her, then got up again.
The dragon was now farther away, but was returning soon. She wasn't even sure what those icicles earlier could have done to that monster. Not only that, the blight coming off that thing was starting to have its effect on her. Aqua created two glyphs again, but this time slapped them together in front of her and channeled more of her mana into it. When the dragon came round again, she'd try to skewer it with a fast, sharp spear. Unfortunately the mana was coming slower and slower. Her mind cooked and concocted a plan once more.
She looked over at the other elf. "I don't know who you are but if you want to make it out of here we're going to have to take that thing down together!" she shouted. "I'll be able to take it down with this, but if it interrupts me I won't be able to gather the mana I need. Keep it off me!"

The spider had negated her fireball and retreated some distance away, allowing everyone to see just how massive it really was. For a moment Terra stopped to wonder if there were deep parts of the world where spiders could actually grow to that scale, or whether this had once been a normal spider that had been twisted into this monster with Blight magics. It reminded her of the hulking beast she'd slain before, never really learning how it had come to be either. Only one thing was certain, she was going to have to kill it with fire.
It began secreting an odd substance along the ground, Terra assumed it was some sort of webbing but the bright green tinge likely signified that the trap would be acidic or poisonous as well as sticky. Either way, it would be crucial not to become ensnared. Terra set to work immediately burning away the strings but had to pause temporarily and flip away from a breath of fire from the dragon overhead. Fighting both creatures at once was going to be tricky, focus too much attention on one and the other would surely take advantage of the situation.
"Watch where you step!" Terra shouted to the others, many of whom had their eyes up, watching the dragon's flight. "If you get caught in this web you'll be a sitting duck for that dragon!"
As if to emphasize this point the spider launched a thick wad of webbing directly at her position. Terra dropped into a defensive stance, spreading her arms wide and projecting a circle of fire to flare up around her, burning away the web on contact. Unfortunately the forest floor around her was covered in the green substance, she'd need a few moments to burn it all away. For the moment she'd have to trust the others to distract the creatures while she created a path out of the sticky situation she'd found herself in.

Arne is taken aback as things quickly went to hell... black fire surrounding them, some twisted abomination of a dragon attacking them from above while some giant spider makes things difficult for them on the ground. He's never seen a situation go so wrong so quickly.
He glances down and Hien and then nods his head over towards Terra. The small wyvern quickly takes flight and dashes over to her. He starts to circle around her, using his flame breath to burn away and the webs and helping clear a path.
In order for those two to make any proper progress, though, Arne needed to distract that spider. he draws his halberd and starts charging it with lightning. With a gust of wind, he leaps into the air and quickly goes into a dive, aiming to land on top of the beast and jam his weapon into its back.

Alriik's lightning bolt struck true… And did fudge all. “Well, that was disheartening.”, he thought. “At least while it's swooping low, I can-"
With a powerful flap, the dragon pushed a torrent of air at our hero, and he was quickly slammed back into the ground, barely missing a web. He looked at it, and then to the dragon… And smirk. He bounded to his feet, before the explosion of burning, acidic, electro ball exploded not far from him. He'd quickly turn around and cross his arms, most of it striking his collection of swords against his back. The pieces that didn't left cuts over his sides, arms and legs. The areas near the new wounds would lose color, the skin turning gray, and the wounds not cauterized by fire or acid would begin to leak mercury blood . He would scream in pain… Before gazing at the battlefield once more. “BABY DRAGON, LEAVE ME SOME WEB TO WORK WITH.”
He would shout, before sheathing his current weapons and drawing his great sword. He would stab it into the ground, as it began to glow brown. When he picked it up, a large chunk of rock would come with it. He would watch the dragon… Before swinging the greatsword at the air, chucking the rock at where he believed it would go. As the rock flew at the beast, he would swing his sword in the air, gathering flames onto the blade, and firing it at the rock at it neared the dragon. "IGNORE MY VOLCANO SHOTGUN, I DARE YOU!"
The rock would explode, sending flaming chunks of rock in the direction of the three heads, in hopes it would crash into some of the webs below!

It seemed that the party, despite having fallen for the blighted mage's trap, had done well in dealing with the mage and his mount. However, it was only the beginning, as after the mage disappeared the thunderous sound of two massive creatures could be heard from nearby. Given how brazen of a move this would have been from the enemy, Rion had certainly expected a show of force; an army of undead, some mages, perhaps even a blighted dragon or two... but the monster that spewed dark flames and acid was unlike anything he had ever seen, or even thought possible. "What... in the world...?" He had barely registered that another combatant had been caught up in the fighting until the stranger fired lightning at the giant amalgamation. Based on what Aqua had said before the group approached what had been a decoy, was the expectation that he and the dragons would be keeping this monstrosity at bay?
There's no doubt, the dragon is the greater threat... but if we can bring the other creature down, we can focus our entire offense. It seemed that the stranger was focused on the dragon, calling upon a combination of earth and fire magic. Moving toward the spider, Rion kept a watchful eye on the terrain and made his way past the existing webs. With Arne going from the air, Rion drew his sword, the blade radiating with a glowing aura before he swung the blade along the ground, sending a fissure of white energy tearing through the ground that would grow in size as it approached the spider, aiming to obscure its vision and distract it while Arne prepared his strike.

The dragons head once again turned at the oncoming attack. One of the dragon's forewings flicked forward to cover its heads, blocking the attack. The stones debris hit hard but bounced off the sturdy wing, leaving some dust and burn marks on the wing. The stones fell below, sticking into the webs while on fire.
As the wing cleared however, the red head of the dragon blasted a stream of flames at Alriik!
The spider had covered the ground in enough webs that it could work with setting a trap out anywhere it wanted. Before it could submerge again, a flash of light blinded it. Rion's light struck against the spider's foreleg, damaging it fairly. The spider reeled back from the attack and squealed, yet it's pain skyrocketed when Arne cam crashing down on the spider. His trajectory had been thrown off by the spider's sudden movement, but he was still able to cut the other foreleg brutally.
The spider lunged at Arne and tried to bite him before he could recover, then quickly made it's escape below the ground. It rustled below the ground, and encroached on Terra. The ground shook below her as it drew closer, suddenly popping out of the ground and lashing forth with a bite from it's venomous fangs.

"I DIDN'T MEAN IT LITERALLY!!!!"
He would dart out of the way of the flames, thoughts coming to his head. What could ground the beast... Nothing he threw at it worked, and he knew if he could get it to the ground he would have a much better chance of killing the damned thing... Those wings were tough, and he probably couldn't pierce it from the ground... And he didn't have any way to... Grapple it...
He'd smirk again, and would sheath his greatsword, drawing his katana and grabbing a piece of web. He would proceed to book it along the line, gathering more of the sticky material as he continued. "FROST CUTIE, NAME'S AL. AND I'M A DAMN GOOD DISTRACTION!"
He'd quickly wrap the handle of the blade, before stopping, and focusing on his blade, infusing it with ice. He would then chuck the blade into the sky, at the beast, as he held the other end hard. He was prepared to go for a ride!

Silver saw the dragon and immediately froze in place. The silver head in the middle...only a small handful of silver dragons actually made it past the curse without dying. It had to be related.
It looked familiar. The way the horns were shaped, the way the tattered ear frills looked. She thought it couldn't be possible after all those years; it had to have been hundreds at least, but that dragon was unmistakable. Or at least, what was left of it, being sewn in to some sort of monster. Some would think it would be impossible to recognize it in the state it was in, but you just don't forget like that. You don't forget your own mother no matter what.
It was her. Silver could do nothing but freeze as the fight broke out around her. Various bits of acid raining down hit her skin and singed her but she didn't even seem to notice it. She just stood, frozen, in the battlefield of flames and death not knowing how to feel or think or react to any of this.
Enfurnus tried to shake some sense in to her, but nothing seemed to work. She was just standing there.
After a few moments, she quickly shifted in to her dragon form and dashed through the wall of flames, paying no mind to the burns it left on her; the adrenaline kept her from feeling the pain. Before anybody could really do anything amidst the chaos, she was gone. Nothing really seemed to come after her either, so it seemed as if the blight let her go...

Enfurnus spent a decent chunk of time trying to get Silver to do something after he had realized what was going on here. He stood in front of her and shook her shoulders.
"Hey. Come on. Move or just do something, or this won't end well. Please."
No response.
He sighed and shifted to his dragon form after letting go of Silver. He stood in front of her to at least shield her from anything coming in her direction, since she took the acid raining down so easily.
Before he could do anything else though, she had taken off and there was no way he could have kept up with a silver dragon to do anything about it. He sighed once more, but at least he knew she would be safe since fighting in that sort of mind set didn't seem like a good idea anyway. He couldn't help but wonder what the flames did to her on the way out, though...
But now was not the time to think of that. It was time to fight. Enfurnus looked at the dragon, and then the spider. The dragon was clearly a massive threat, but he knew it would be unlikely that the group could take that thing down. A single blighted dragon is a challenge enough; 3 mashed together was absurd. He had never seen anything quite that monstrous, and that said a lot considering all that he had seen through the wars he had been through.
That, to him, meant he needed to distract the dragon at least; he knew he could not take it on. He had at least the sky and his dragon strength to his advantage while the others did not. Knowing full well the consequences of the actions he was about to take, he did it anyway. This is probably where Silver learned her grand ideas of craziness from.
The red dragon hurled himself in to the sky at the dark, 3 headed beast of a dragon and slashed at one of it's wings with his metal arm.

Aqua watched the events unfold around her as she compiled energy into her glyphs. The dragon attacked once again, aimed at the new elf who introduced himself and called her Frost Cutie. "This isn't the time to be flirting, jackass." She huffed. At least he was buying her the time she needed.
Terra, Arne, and Rion had struck a blow against the spider. She knew they could handle it. But while they were handling that, where were Silver and Enfurnus? They could tackle this dragon amalgam better than anyone else-
Then she saw Silver suddenly transform and fly away. The dragon charged through the flaming columns and was out of sight. No input as to her plan. Aqua was shocked. "Did she just abandon us? Don't we need her to fight the mage? What the hell!?"
Enfurnus transformed now and attacked the amalgam. While he did so, Aqua felt the mana pooling inside her reaching a critical point, so she made a quick decision. She didn't know what happened to Silver, but she had to stop this.. this thing.
The mana filled Aqua's spirit and coursed through her like lightning. The glyphs around her closed, and she clenched her fists around her spear. "Now you're finished, monster!" she cried. Sharks Bane's spear head transformed and fired across the field. Aqua was pulled by the harpoon's contraction, hurling her through the air. She kicked up off the ground and with enough speed was hurtling through the air at the dragon, aimed to strike just under it's forearm.
Aqua clung to her spear as she poured magic into it's receiver gems. The spear spread a layer of ice around it, encasing Aqua and protecting her. A large spike formed at the head and spanned out. The ice missile flew fast and headed straight for the dragon.

After hitting the ground, Arne rolled away from the massive spider... a smart move as its fangs just barely miss him, scraping against his armor. As he stands up, the beast has already made its way back underground... and his attention is captured by something else. Silver changing into a dragon and... leaving? Arne stares dumbfounded... she just up and left, leaving the rest of the group to fend for themselves. "Yeah... sure. Ok. Great. That's... fine." he groans as he draws another javelin, waiting for the spider to reappear.
Hien continues to burn away at the webs, stopping briefly to let out a annoyed chirp at this stranger yelling at him. He yelps in surprise as the spider resurfaces near him and goes right for Terra. The young wyvern circles around, getting behind the spider, and unleashes a stream of flame onto its back. At the same time, Arne throws his next javelin, aiming for one of the beast's injured legs.

Hien had made his way over to Terra, flying over the ground and burning away the webs as he did so. Definitely an asset to have another 'person' clearing away traps, and his ability to fly made Hien ideal. "Thank you Hien," Terra called to him. "You are the goodest boy!"
Meanwhile it seemed that Arne and Rion had coordinated a pincer attack against the spider which squealed and burrowed underground once more. This allowed Terra to take a brief look at the rest of the battleground. Or at least the battle that was taking place elsewhere, because it certainly wasn't on the ground... There were now two dragons in the sky, Silver being strangely absent, and two elves hurtling through the air to join them! Terra's heart leapt with concern for Frida and this new ally, she had to finish this fight quickly so that she could go and assist them.
As if on cue Terra felt the ground below her shift, and a moment later the spider popped up and lunged out at her. The attack came so suddenly, she was only able to dodge in time thanks to her Earth affinity allowing her to sense the creature's movement beneath the ground. As its fangs closed around nothing Terra retaliated with a fireball aimed squarely at the eyes before dodging away again. She desperately wished for more stable terrain so that she could use the wheels on her skates for added mobility, but the soft soil did not afford her the same advantage that had been present in the blight cave or Yung's ring.
The spider snapped at her again with its enormous fangs, and the only cover to be seen was one of its hairy appendages. Terra leapt onto the spider's leg and channeled mana through her whole body to project a fire aura around her. In addition to burning the creature Terra took hold of fistfuls of its hair and shimmied up to the leg's joint where she could deliver a shattering blow. Soon enough the spider would have one fewer leg to stand on.

The spider wasn't ready for the onslaught of attacks that hit it when it sprung up under Terra. The girl's fireball left no time for evasion and scorched it's eyes shut. A spew of flame burned its back, followed by a severing blow to it's already injured foreleg. It squealed in agony as it's bloody stump stung. But even that wasn't the end, as it's remaining foreleg was nearly burned off, then ripped off.
Meanwhile, the battle against the amalgam raged on. Unfortunately, the dragon fared much better than it's spider cohort. The lightning head of the dragon saw all the attacks coming at it at once. All three heads roared as a blanket of dark energy and electricity covered the body. As quickly and deadly as before, the dragon's tail snapped overhead and whacked Enfurnus out of the air, barreling him down below to the ice missile that Aqua was inside. The dragon smashed into the top of the missile, throwing it off course and into the ground below as well. As Alriik's sword drew close, it was snapped back as a wave of electrified darkness slapped it away.
The eyes of the dragon all flashed crimson behind the smoke, and all roared in an extended cry. The spider's eyes snapped wide open, and it immediately dove back below the ground, this time burying deep. The dark, electric blanket that had covered the dragon lifted around it and floated to the clouds above, followed by the dragon which ascended beyond the clouds.
Following another roar, the sky seemed to wretch and warp much like before. However, tiny yellow lights soon filled the darkness. There was a crash like thunder and the wind hissed as the lights drew closer. The dragon's heads had combined their elemental attacks with the darkness that enthralled them.
The clouds began to rain down acid, drips of fire, and strike lightning all throughout the battlefield. A strike of lightning smashed down and shattered the ice that Aqua had encased herself in, followed by another between Terra and Hien, and continued aimlessly.
All around them the battlefield became a hellzone. The debris, if it wasn't on fire, was deteriorating from acid rain. The dragon had disappeared now, leaving them to be liquefied by it's great attack.

Alriik would pull the thread as the sword was blown away, sighing. "Damnit, I got nothing... Okay, Lady Icicles, what you-" He would stop, watching his new ally become a frozen spear of justice and soar at the dragon, as another dragon flew in to strike with a metallic awesome. "Awesome." He would catch the sword as it neared, sheathing it, ready for the battle to be over, and-
Suddenly, everything would take a turn for the worse. The dragon was deflected, as was his frozen justice ally. He watched it fly upward. "Crap." He knew the implications. "Crap, crap... MOTHERF- SCORCHED EARTH INCOMING!" Ice friend would strike the ground nearby, still encased. Probably okay. He began to run to her as she was struck by lightning. He would pause. "No, no, no."
He would brace, covering his face as the ice crystal shattered, the shrapnel causing more cuts that leaked mercury. Needed to be closed as soon as the battle ended. Got a job to do.
He would pull his great sword out again, performing the same rock lifting trick he had used earlier, just keeping the large rock over his head as the fiery acid rain poured down. He attempted to stand near Aqua, hoping to use his newfound umbrella to avoid her getting a face full of it. "Hey, if you're still alive, we all need to get the hell out of here. We're outmatched and have no feasible way to even hurt it."
