Aqua looked around at the school from outside the gate. "It's still quite a piece of work, this school. I wonder if the students or faculty know anything about the amnesiac cases.." She pondered. Turning to Arne, she tilted her head at him. "You're interested in learning more about magic too, yes? Perhaps you can learn a thing or two in your time here.."

As Saito asked for tea, Isabella would turn her head and shout in the direction of the kitchen. “MICHEAL, MAKE US SOME OF THE GOOD TEA, AND MAKE IT FAST!” The muscular man from inside the kitchen would peek his head out, and shout back. “MOM, TEA NEEDS TIME TO STEEP, I'LL HAVE IT IN TEN. GIVE THE MAN SOME WATER.” The elderly woman would roll her eyes. “JUST MAKE IT FAST, MIKE.” The man's face would curl for a second, before he bellowed out “I AM NOT RUINING MY TEA BECASE YOU'RE IMPATIENT. I HAD THIS IMPORTED!” The muscular man would dip his head back into the kitchen, and the elderly woman would grumble, and provide Saito with a glass of water.
As Isa ducked behind the bar to look for something, Alriik would speak. “So, I don't know the full story, I wasn't there when the group formed, but we're battling the forces of Blight, and anything else that gets in our way. Pirates, gladiators from a parallel world… I've only been a part of the group for a short time, but things have already gotten interesting.” Isabelle would rise with a well-worn jug stopped by a large cork. On the side was a very noticeable “WARNING: FLAMMABLE”, printed in bold black letters. “Our leader is Captain Frida Nyhorlothor. ‘The Princess’. Daughter of General Aqua, she's got a lot on her plate. Her father's currently a political prisoner due to his failings on this amnesiac children case. The House of Man are the people behind his imprisonment. And the consensus amongst my friends is that it's a gambit for power.” Alriik would take the jug, nodding to Isa with a smile. “Yessss. Thank you.” The elf would proceed to pop the cork off, the sudden smell striking the noses of all around. This was potent.
Alriik would turn back to Saito. “Then there's our brawler Terra, and our Lancer, Arne… Well, I know Terra has quite the past, but is still kind when not in battle. With Arne, I don't know a lot. Good with lances, has a strange connection with a small dragon. He's… Friendly, not forthcoming. We have two specialists for dealing with the blight, Rion and Silver. They… Well, we don't have the time to explain their whole deals. Needless to say… The Blight is not calmed with no cost. As for me… I come from a cult not too far from here. My people are the kind to experiment on children… But not the kind to release them after.” He'd take a big gulp from the jug, before putting it down. “Just so you know, I was one of those experiments. Bad times. The Altiim are f*cking awful. But I don't wanna drag my friends into my personal fight if I don't have to. They're too important, and that's a fight they probably won't win.”
“So…” He'd glance over to Saito, then Isa. “If you got anything on the kids, even just telling me who you know it can't be… Anything’ll help.”

After being escorted out of Iltham's cell, Aqua lead the group to her home. When the arrived, Arne and Hien could help but stare at amazement at everything. Even through the rain, the air of luxury from the home and surrounding land was clear. Once inside, Aqua told the group where the rooms where and then retreated to her own.
Arne and Hien entered one of the rooms, Arne taking off his armor and putting his weapons aside as soon as he shut the door. "Any idea what we should be doing tomorrow?" Arne asked Hien, who replied with a few chirps. "Yeah... same here. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what everyone else's ideas are.". He collapses onto the bed, eventually falling asleep.
Next day, after getting reequipped, Arne and Hien joins the rest of the group... and learns that the plan is to split up and search the city separately. Not being familiar with the area at all, for Arne that meant simply wandering around aimlessly until something caught his interest... which didn't seem very helpful. However, Aqua and Terra started talking about checking out some kind of academy for magic... and asked Arne if he was interested. "I didn't really have any other ideas. And it would certainly be great if I could learn a thing or two about magic as well. I'm in." Hien chipped happily, showing he was wanting to join in as well. And with that, they set off.
It didn't take them long to reach it... Laphaessir Academy. Hearing Aqua's question, Arne responded, "Yeah, I've been thinking about getting some formal training. Might help out with how... unique my magic seems to be." Terra began speaking with a woman at the gate, who informed that they needed to be students in order to enter. As she grabbed an application, Arne quickly followed... grabbing another one for himself "I'll be needing one of these as well."... quickly filling it out, and handing it over along with Terra. He showed his documents when told as well... though, it seemed it didn't matter as the two were getting approved due to their connections with Aqua. "Huh... I guess it really does pay to know the right people."

“Well I didn’t really want to play the Princess card but they kind of forced the information out of me,” Terra said with a lopsided smile as she made her way back over to Frida and Arne. “Once again my girl Frida is the key that opens every door in this country!”
After a few minutes of waiting a human boy with sandy brown hair who looked to be in his late teens opened the gate and led the group toward the academy. Now that their view was unobstructed by the wall Terra drank everything in. Besides the grassy fields where groups of mages were training she could now see outdoor classrooms, a lake, several greenhouses and some sort of paved sporting area. Many students could be seen enjoying the nice weather, the more diligent ones absorbed in their books while others lounged beneath tall shady trees. Their tour guide stopped them in front of the main building and turned to them, bowing low. “Please wait here a moment, someone will be down shortly to meet with you.”
After the boy had run off Terra glanced around at her friends. “Do you think we’d be pushing our luck if we wandered off, tried to question a few of the students?”
“Maybe you two could,” Frida replied “But I don’t think I’m going anywhere unnoticed right now.”
And she was right. Terra looked around again and found that her friend had been recognized once again, many students were excitedly prodding their friends and whispering in hushed tones about the Princess in their midst. “I see what you mean and retract my previous statement about you opening all doors Frida. Sneaking around is definitely not an option on the table right now. I suppose we’ll just have to wait for whoever they send for us.”

Meribia Lower-Quarters The Steel Rose Saito Saito took a sip of the water he'd been given, though soon the tea would be ready so he'll just have to bear with this for now. He listened to Alriik, with his tea arriving shortly. Truly this man had the loosest of mouths so it would appear. "How lackadaisical, to give away the identities of your allies so easily. Were I a spy your group would be in danger from that moment on", was his opening answer. Other interesting details were thrown in as well, experiments? And their job was calming the blight? Such a job could not be easy, let alone was it really possible? He mentioned two who had the abilities to such a feat, and much as he'd like to know it seems Alriik was not too privvy to the details. "I advise to take care in the information you share. In any case in regards to the children, a mage who was responsible for brainwashing people which was then traced to the disappearance of numerous children over some months turned up at the guard station. They perhaps might be a good place to start questioning", he was of course referring to the plant manipulating mage he himself had apprehended, omitting the fact that he was the one who had done so, not that anyone could tell since he just left her there when no one was looking. "Most of the children who had disappeared were from the lower quarters, around here, which isn't a surprise. Who's going to notice a few missing street urchins. Given the strong opinions of the people here I suggest you leave any work in this area to me", Saito began to take a sip from his tea, which was at a prime temperature right about then. He was correct, if Alriik himself began going around asking the people here, they may not be so forthcoming, and another altercation like earlier could occur. "That is of course not to come without a price", a deal? "I just want information on Toku's current happenings. It's dreadfully slow finding information on Toku here", it was to many, a cheap request. Information on the goings of Toku. "If you can agree to those terms, I'll offer my assistance".

Rion stared at Silver for a few seconds as she appeared surprised that he noticed she was following, before finally asking if it would be all right that she went with him to look for information. With a brief chuckle, Rion smiled before turning forward once again. "No problems here..." he said before walking ahead, making his way toward the town. Once they were back within the walls of the main city, he started to look around for anything that looked like directions or perhaps even a map of the town. "I'm sure a place like this has somewhere a traveler can get some general info..." he said, scratching his head before looking back toward Silver.
"I know Aqua and Alriik gave us some good information about the place, but I'm thinking a trip to Mt. Remorse is near enough in our future that we can get things prepared for that, maybe see if anyone's seen any weird happenings around the area lately... What about you? Got anything in mind you want to find out while we're looking around here?" While he wouldn't be entirely surprised if Silver followed along out of wondering what he was looking to find, he wanted to help her find any information she was looking for as well.

Sam made his rounds in the city, checking in with the guard captains in each sector of the city. The growing tensions between the races and political moves of the houses made his job a strenuous one but he couldn't complain of boredom. Trudging through the streets, he would notice Rion and Silver traveling together. He greeted them with a friendly shout before trotting over.
"Hello there friends, and good morning to you!" Sam boomed. "How do you find yourselves this day? Visiting a city during a strange time like this." He said. He raised an eyebrow and looked around them. "I suppose Captain Aqua isn't with you today, yes? May I ask what your plans are? Surely you just be doing more than sightseeing."

Silver smiled, relieved that Rion didn't mind her tagging along. She would look around as they walked, taking in the sights of the town. She would let Rion take the lead and would help out if they came across anything.
Rion would then ask her what she was looking for, if anything. For the most part, she just wanted a few things out of this trip.
"U-uh, well...I'm just here to kill blight mages, really...but that being said, all I want to do is get Aqua's dad out. But since I don't think that will be an easy task, I'd just like to help you in whatever you are searching for. I'm not that good at asking people for information, though...usually people just told me what to do, or I just hunted things down solo. So uh...let me know how I can help you and I'll do my best!"
She spoke with quiet enthusiasm. Her explanation was a bit awkward, but she felt it did the job.
Silver then caught sight of Sam, a person who had grown on her a bit. He seemed kind. She would wave at him, and then let Rion take the lead for the conversation.

Alriik would chuckle at the implication Saito may be a spy. “Please, ser, I'm not an amateur. I saw the death in your eyes, and I saw you contain it. If you were a spy you would have indulged me in my fight, or not fought me at all. Either you are simultaneously the best and worst spy ever, or you're just a wandering warrior. That… I can empathize with. And no warrior ever starts out alone. So I get the feeling you were once a part of something, and then you weren't. So I gave names and stories, to try and get you to empathize.” He'd take another large swig from his jug. “Consider it a… Calculated gamble.”
Saito would continue to talk, mentioning the defeated witch, as the muscular man would leave the kitchen, holding a rather ornate little tea set. He would dip around bar goers, stepping beside Saito and placing the full set in front of him. “Rose-Jasmine tea, imported from Dosina. They say it's from Toku, but it don't taste exactly the same, so it's probably a knock-off. Still better than the trash they'd serve anywhere else in this town. Please enjoy, sir.” The muscular man would bow to Saito before stepping away, Isa again rolling her eyes. “I swear, this boy…”
Alriik would take another swig, ready to talk, but Isa would interrupt him, pointing to an empty stage with instruments in the corner of the establishment. “Hey, Al, think you could play me a tune? Been 40 years since I heard ya play.” The elf's eyes would immediately light up, a smile crossing his face. “What song? I mean… I haven't played in a moment…” Isa would make a “psshaw” sound and wave him to the stage, the elf smiling and obliging. As he made his way through the crowd, Isa would begin to clean dishes and make small talk with Saito. “That man… He's a damn fine warrior, but a damn fool. You probably already picked that up… But, if you would indulge an old woman… Let me tell you what makes that blockhead a hero.”
As Alriik made his way to the stage, he'd hop upon it, grabbing the nearest guitar, and strumming it. As he did this, Isa would continue to speak. “Back in the day, 40 years back, there was a young, beautiful and powerful guardswoman. We'll call her 'Bell'. Bell would routinely handle issues on her own accord, responsibly and within reason. This made Bell popular among the other guards, and she quickly rose in rank. Soon, her dream of becoming Captain of the Guard was in sight. She had always dealt with her duty mercifully but sternly, a model guard. Then… For the first time in decades, a Blight Mage fell on Meribia. With a whole damned army of wolves he could control with his darkness.”
As she spoke, the elf would tune his guitar, getting it just right. He would strum it a few times, playing a few chords, before beginning to sing. “Well, I won't back down. No, I won't back down. You could stand me up at the gates of Hell, but I won't back down. No, I'll stand my ground. Won't be turned around. And I'll keep this world from dragging me down. Gonna stand my ground. And I won't back down.” The crowd would answer him with a “Won't back down!”, which would cause him to grin, strumming his guitar with gusto and loudly bellowing “HEEEEEEEEY, BABY, THERE AIN'T NO EASY WAY OUT.” The crowd would respond again, leading him through the chorus.
Isa would continue. “So, Bell was caught completely unaware. She fought off a dozen of the bastards, but one got her from behind. Took a big chunk out of calf muscle. It then readied it's pounce, and leapt at her neck. She was done for. Until an elf with silvery hair appeared, and slew the beasts around her. He asked if she was okay, then took her to shelter. He promised he would end this nightmare, but… Be knew better than to trust this to one man. But he insisted, and she was in no condition to stop him. So the elf left… And returned with the Blight Mage's head. The elf had won the day. But Bell… Had lost everything.”
The elf would shout out again as he reached the second chorus, his head nowhere but the song. Isa would keep on talking. “But the elf wasn't done. He stayed nearby to help with repairs. And he checked on poor Bell. Her wounds made her unfit to continue being a guard. Her dreams of being Captain were dashed. So… With his reward money, he bought an estate that was devastated from the battle, and fixed it up the best he could. Then he built it back up the best he could, as a tavern. Bell asked him if he was going to stay, but he said no. He was trying to build somewhere to come back to. He gave it to Bell, gave her a new place to work, a new purpose. As long as he got free drinks. So she promised him that.”
As Alriik shouted out the last chorus, the crowd shouting in return, Isa would smile. “And so he did, for a time. And he told Bell his tale, drink by drink. The vile people that brought him up as a weapon. The kindly Tokuan Swordsman who took him in, and introduced him to the human side of his family. The sad, twisted tale of family found and lost… He was fighting for others, because he saw nothing in himself. In the end, though… The elf left. And all Bell heard from him for years were stories. Tall tales of mountains slain and evils vanquished. But eventually… She heard tales of him finding love. He had tamed the heart of a dragon, and married her. And Bell had believed her elven friend had found peace.”
The elf on stage would finish his song, the crowd cheering him on. He'd take a moment to take it all in, before beginning to play again. “Well, you're my friend… And can you see? Many times… We've been out drinking… Many times we shared our thoughts. But did you ever… Ever notice… The kind of thoughts I got? Well you know… I have a love… For everyone I know… And you know I have a drive, to live, I won't let go…” The elf's singing would take a more somber tone. “But can you see… It's opposition… Comes rising up sometimes. That's it's dreadful… Imposition… Come blacking in my mind…” The crowd would boisterously chant alongside him. “And then I see a darkness! And then I see a darkness! And then I see a darkness! And then I see a darkness! Do you know how much I love you? Is there hope that somehow you… Can save me from this darkness? Can save me from this darkness…?”
As the elf continued, so did the older woman. “Years passed, and Bell would continue to think on her old friend. She would find a husband, and raise a child, but… She thought her friend had found peace. And was comfortable. And then… She learned what happened to her friend. His wife had been killed. And he returned to his wandering warrior ways… And she became worried about her friend.”
After Alriik finished his second song, he played a final one, after a long series of chords, he would begin to sing again. “Home in the valley… Home in the city…. Home isn't pretty… Ain't no home for me….” Isa would sigh, finishing the glasses near her. “You know… That elf was trained by a Tokuan. He's got a great mind for battle. He simply could use some guidance… But also… He told Bell about the Tokuan man's son. A man named Shiro, who guarded a sacred white comet. So, if Bell were here…” Isa would look to the picture of the guardsmen and Alriik on the back of the wall. If Saito followed her eyeline… He would notice one of the guards seemed to be… A younger Isa. “… She'd tell you to follow that elf. He'd either lead you to answers… Or back to Toku.”

Rion looked at Silver as she mentioned she really had nothing to look for other than stopping Blight Mages. Aside from that, she seemed to want the same things he did, which was to help Aqua and her father, so he simply nodded to her reply and smiled. "Well, guess we'll just keep looking for more details about Mt. Remorse, then." he said, turning and walking forward until a loud shout caught his attention. "E-eh?!"
Rion was clearly a bit surprised to hear the booming voice that greeted him and Silver, but smiled when he found it was none other than Sam. "Morning!" he replied with a wide smile as Silver waved. When the chief inquired about what he and Silver were doing, Rion simply nodded. "Well, you're mostly right yes; we're helping Aqua find out anything that might help her sort out this issue against her father. Everyone's looking around for what they can find..." he trailed off, before putting a hand to his chin. "But in a way, I do have some questions that are a little more like sight-seeing; what do you know about Mt. Remorse? For example... is there a path leading there from the city?" Rion would then pause for a moment, before explaining his reasoning for the questions.
"I'm hoping to try and get a better idea of where these people who are temporarily going missing are ending up, since it would have to be close by... but aside from being told of what the mountain was used for, I haven't got much in the way of where it is in relation to the city. I understand it might be difficult to put any resources towards investigating an abandoned place, but we're here to help look anywhere you may think would be useful, or any leads you may not be able to look into for other reasons."

Meribia Lower-Quarters The Steel Rose Saito Suppose he can take some time to just take in the atmosphere. When was it, the last time he sat down just listening to a story over tea? Visions of his commanding officer came to mind, and instinctively his free hand rubbed the insignia on his sword, a family symbol that did not belong to him. He looked up from his drink again as he listened. The story of a valiant wanderer and a woman who waited for him, it appeared like a romance, yet it was not. Unusual, those kinds of stories usually went that way, but it's ending was somewhat bitter. Even as they found happiness, it appeared to not last for long, but that was the way of life. "Happily ever after" was a dream, life never ended this simply, it kept going, putting you through more and more trials. That much he was certain. The singing in the background created a strange ambience, he could tell there were people here who were fond of him, yet here there were people who were not. So which was it? The polarised opinion made him question this place further, what problems did they really face here...? And Blight Mages, the mention of such reminded him once more of home, a solemn and soft-burning fire of revenge broke through his cold and stern demeanour, just for a moment. Perhaps imperceptible to the average person, though it would fade quickly as he reined himself back in. He turned back to reality, 'if she were here' she says... "Hmph. I am not one to follow out of love for tales, I leave that to vagrants seeking romance", he took a sip of the tea. It wasn't what he was used to, but it was not so bad, or perhaps it's just been ages since he's had proper tea. Though this affair did not answer his worries... If he could simply return to Toku, just like that, he wouldn't be asking around about it. He recognised the name "Shiro" though, but for the time being such was not important, though perhaps that was the Tokuan he mentioned back during their fight. He turned to the lady Isa, "I presume he himself will not give me the answers, but it appears he may know someone who can", that is if Alriik puts that offer on the table. He was rather meticulous about such things, business had to be conducted properly. As they say... Business transactions should always come before a fight. A strange phrase he heard once, from a mercenary or oddjobs, he couldn't tell at the time. "But... I'll hear it from him, soon as he finishes his impromptu concert".

“Well well, I had to see it to believe it. Frida Nyharllothor, already back from her journey of fulfillment and self discovery. I didn’t expect you back for a few years at least, don’t tell me you’ve already traveled the whole world?”
Aqua groaned as she recognized the voice. Turning to it's source, she masked her annoyance with a fake smile. "Lady Arelyn, to think I had almost forgotten about you. Nay, I had only just set foot on my journey when I turned back. "
"Hmm, I do recall hearing that your father had some misgivings about letting you go, that he feared you weren't ready for the journey..." Arelyn reasoned out loud. "But I'm sure that only the most pressing of circumstances could have distracted you from your important rite of passage. Certainly that regrettable business between your father and that fool Barr would qualify. But if that's why you're back I am surprised to see you here and not petitioning to the Houses for the release of Lord Nyharllothor. What brings you to Laphaessir Academy, Captain?"
Aqua would sweep the matter of her situation aside for a second to focus on her friends. "A simple, but not so simple matter." Aqua gestured to her teammates at her side. "I have with me two gifted mages that seek further knowledge and hope to hone their talents here. They are close friends of mine, and I hope you may find a place for them in your rosters."
Arelyn shifted her gaze over to Terra and Arne, seeming to notice them for the first time now. After a long look of appraisal the woman turned her attention toward a pair of admission applications and began to read.
"Excuse me Princess,” Arelyn huffed once she'd skimmed the documents. “But I think you’re being a bit presumptuous to think we’d take on a pair of neophyte mages just because you asked. We’ve a reputation to uphold and we don’t just let anyone in. And as your friends are a fire and wind mage they'd both fall under my oversight.”
“Please Master Arelyn-” The girl next to Aqua spoke up out of turn, but at least she had the sense to bow her head in respect. “What I lack in formal education I will more than make up for in drive and determination to improve. I promise you, I will not sully your academy’s good name. Put me to the test and I’ll prove my worth as a pupil.”
Arelyn ignored the girl, keeping her focus on Aqua. “And just how long have you returned for Captain? A week? A month before your ship blows out of port once more? What could they possibly learn in that time? Mages dedicate years of their lives to their studies here, you can’t simply pop in and out.”
Aqua shrugged off Arelyn's attitude. "I'm not going anywhere until this fiasco is over. Besides, this is my home and I can stay as long as I please. I supposed this school could do well for those already inclined to the arts, especially with the apt skill your father and yourself promote. If I'm wrong, we'll simply go elsewhere. I'm a busy elf, after all.."

Sam would scratch his chin in thought as Rion asked him questions. "You see, it would be better for you to get a big picture of the town to know where you might go." At that, Sam reached into one of his bags and withdrew a long rolled up piece of paper, which he unfurled and showed the two travelers, squatting down to their height that they could see it better. "So, you are about here." He said, pointing to the eastern side of the map, his beastman fingers poked the parchment with a long, sharp fingernail. "If you're ever lost, you can look to the Statue and determine from what sector you are in. If she's looking to the left, you are in the Eastern sector. To the right, you are in the Western Sector. If she's looking in your direction, you are in the markets, or perhaps further south by the Academy." Sam said. He handed Rion the map. "Take it, free of charge. But, as for the mountain.." Sam folded his arms. "Mt. Remorse is a day's travel east of here, along the mountain range. The easiest way for you to get there would be to take the road leading there, but I wouldn't waste your time. The mountain is under restricted access, and only certain individuals are allowed within. Perhaps if there was an earth mage among your group you could gain access, but the mountain is still dangerous. The mountain tunnels are unstable now as mining has halted for some century and odd years. Earlier this month, an expedition team was sent to the mountain, but they've not sent any word about their findings.. which isn't unusual, mind you, unstable tunnels and all, but, still.. Itham seemed more interested in it this time around." "As for the children, believe me I would love nothing more than to get down to the bottom of it myself. But a man such as myself isn't built for espionage. And my subordinates haven't had much luck either." Sam said. "What we know so far is the children, human and elven mind you, are reported to disappear for the evening and then come back the following morning or next day with no memory of where they've been. We at first suspected nothing out of the ordinary; this is normal behavior for children to lie about their nightly excursions. But the parents insist that the children genuinely cannot remember where they've gone, what they've done, or who they were with. The cases are increasing in numbers nightly, and we now have more cases than officers in our department. What else is concerning is that some of these children are the sons and daughters of our politicians.." He frowned. "The navy may get involved soon and enact a patrol of the rivers, to ensure the children aren't leaving town or being taken away." "What I think you could do.. is find out where these children are going. Something tells me your little cloaked friend there can keep an eye on them where they wouldn't normally look. But, whether it be crime or some malicious magic at work I cannot tell you. You'd best be careful if you're going that way." Sam took one last look at Rion's map, before pointing to the southern most part of the Eastern Sector. "This is the area where the reports started coming from. That would be a good place to start."

Rion tilted his head as Sam seemed almost prepared to be asked such a question; maybe someone like him got questions about the city often when he was patrolling?
Staring at the map as Sam described the various areas, Rion nodded in understanding as he pointed out the ways the statue would look in relation to the different locations, smiling as he took the map once Sam handed it to him. "This will definitely be useful, thank you sir!" he replied politely, before Sam went into more detail about Mt. Remorse. After a moment Rion nodded in understanding of the beastman's words, feeling that they could safely cross the mountain off as far as looking for the children was concerned. That said, even with the restrictions in place, he wondered what good those were to someone heading there via dragon... that, and knowing now that there was an expedition crew seemingly lost there made the mountain continue to stick out as a place of interest. However, when Sam recommended that they look into a different possibility as far as where the children were going. If the reports started from the eastern part of town, then at the very least they were close to the possible lead.
"I think that sounds like a good idea. Maybe we'll be able to pick up some clues before night falls." Rion nodded in agreement, then smiled before looking over to Silver. "... What do you think, Silver? Up for a little stealth mission after we've had some time to really scope the area out?" With that, he looked back to Sam and gave a brief bow of his head. "Thanks again for the help, we'll do our best to get to the bottom of this."

Sam nodded. "All in a days work for the chief. Mind yourselves, now." And with that the beastman set about again on his daily tour.
Meanwhile..

In the darkness of the mines, a small figure covered by a black, dirt covered cloak scratched on the rock walls with a sharp stone. Two humanoid figures reaching up toward the sun, below them a pair of enormous sharp fingered hands threatening to grasp and pull them below down to a menacing pair of eyes and razor sharp fangs. The mage's red eyes looked up and down the piece. Suddenly, the whine of a drill and heavy machinery filled the chasm, along with light tremors that vibrated the fresh dust free from the newly made carvings. The mage tossed the stone aside and quickly scampered off into the darkness of the mountain mines.
