In my opinion, I like zero's new appearence. Although he's suppose to be 100 years older than the X Series, Zero actually looks 100 years younger. His new appearence dosn't suit the game, I agree, but it would definatly suit an anime series of his own (drifting into dreamland . . . . ) Like on the japanese TV advertisment comercial for the game i think i must disagree with ya there.if you notice zero does look 100 years older (if you look at it this way i mean)becuase if ya notice zero doesnt have much armor his color is darker and theres more to see. from the effect of no upgrades therefore he seems younger only becuase he is out of date with the frequent universe that is called the Megaman zero series. and if you think of the name also he was made fit to look more like megaman x that why its called megaman zero and that why he could recongnize x and some of his memories but not his own. so what does that tell you. either the origanal x perished and became areploid sould /hologram protection of what he would look like upgraded to that date or that willingly gave up his data and body only to be what ever he is in the mmz series also th help zero remember and recover.

Vainstar's right about the armor, but i think that zero may have had his body stolen (zero3) and put into hibernation with a copy body and memory. perhaps the new body can't handle armor, or it helps with hibernation.

I think it's this:
Zero's original body was destroyed, but his soul entered an incomplete copy's body, which is his MMZ body.

If his body is destroyed, then why do you face Omega in original zero's body in zero 3? Its just a damn artwork, people. It has nothing to do with his body... Both Orig. Zero and Copy Zero's bodies are the same but with Orig. Zero's darker in color. Thats all... Capcom probably want us to think that they were always like this.

The thing about the "MegaMan"Zero thing, in my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that X and Zero may have fused or something like that. You ever notice that in every game, they call X "X" instead of "MegaMan X"? Maybe that's because capcom didn't intend for him to be reffered that way. I think that the "MegaMan" in MegaMan X, and the "MegaMan" in MegaMan Zero are just titles to show which series it's from. MegaMan X is about X and MegaMan Zero is about Zero, makes sense right? So the "MegaMan" part is just something added at the beginning of the title to show that the game is of the MegaMan series. It wouldn't make much sense if the games were just called "X" and "Zero" now would it?

Well... if Capcom suddenly made a game called X years ago, would people know its part of Megaman's legacy? Of course not... Same with Zero. I mean if they suddenly make a game about Omega from Z3 and they called the game Omega 1, would the people that never played the zero games know its related to megaman's series? I think not

Hey Ballade this was a while back, but answer this: If they're supposed to be as lifelike as possible, then how come they dont breathe in MMX7?? I just happened to notice that...

i think the answer is quite simple, like fusion said zero body was destroyed but i think it is hte other way...zero body was taken by Dr. Weil and Omega. That's why he's stuck on that copy body...but i think he really look better in that body than the other body..come on.. the last body was coloured red...now its look much better... ;D

I agree with some of you here. I don't like Zero's new look either. He looked much better in the X games.

what i belive is that in x5 zero's body was destroyed and he gained a new one in x6 along with a stik like zsaber which might explain why he has the "fake body" in zero series the fake body is the x6 body while the real one is the x1-x5 one and in x5 zero gives x his zsaber and gains that new one in x6 so that might explain why x gives it to him in mmz1 just a thory of linking x and z series together
