Thompson's really gone off the deep end. I mean... He's blaming video games for all the violence, and look what his idea has! Blood and guts! Isn't that what he's FIGHTING? What an idiot. I thought his lack of appearance in the news was a sign that he was gaining sanity.
If a game publisher does indeed make this (I seriously doubt it) it's gonna incite more lawsuits because it's a mix of just about every known video game that involves killing stuff. Why throw a freakin' BFG in there, Thompson? Why not make Osuwari Kim (or whatever his name is) drop a nuke on the U.S? Because games are somewhat influenced by the cinematic quality of movies, though not directly. But there's one difference: Sex scenes in movies Thompson does not care about, apparantly, but if it's in a game, he's like a SWAT team on a fly.
If you can't stand to see violence in games then don't play them or just ignore them[/i]. You don't cause a riot because this game has some sort of reference to a religion or a certain country. What I don't prefer seeing in video games is overcompensating amounts of players. It's the main reason I don't play sports games.
Types of games Jack Thompson wants now are games where you stare at water, or walk around and if you do anything illegal it's game over, or over-compensating games based on cartoons. We know how well THOSE sell nowadays.
JT wants video games that don't involve violence at all, and he's blaming the entire video game community for it. Gee, Jack, if you're gonna abolish evil, demonic, hellspawned games from the devil, you might as well just drop a nuke on Japanese companies. I laugh, 'cause Jack can't get access to a nuke to do so.
It's people like him that endanger gaming as a whole. I wouldn't be surprised if he notioned for banning games in general. All he wants is a world where everybody smiles, does not fight, where crimes are not commited at all, where the need for excessive force was not nesscessary, in other words: a "perfect" world without what he thinks video games are.
I believe I've helped say what probably %100 of gamers have been saying for the past few months. Thank you for your time if you read all of this.

...Well, that whole "I'll give someone 10k to some Take-Two guy's charity of choice" was just a joke.
I... I don't know what to say about this. Like it was said before, he's a mental case, and I think he needs to be put in an asylum.

Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Jack Thompson's liscense to practice law is being investigated. If all goes well, he should be out of business by the end of the year, at least.
