I have heard about that FF11 game being on wireless and Internet and stuff.
There is a reason for those manuals being there after all.
That's the boy's fault for not reading. Why not just abandon that account then?

Well... the game is Pay to Play. If he just abandons the account he'd get charged a monthly fee for a game he doesn't play.

Hmm ... in this case, again, one should always read the manual for any disadvantageous systems which could cost you a lot. I'd rather not play the whole game the instant I saw that clause, although the game itself could be wonderful.

I agree.
They have to abide by the predetermined rules of squareEnix.
But then again, it makes you wonder why SquareEnix didn't want account cancellations. Since members are required to pay and such, assuming I'm right or else correct me here, it seems that SquareEnix plays on the ability to bind players to a contract favouring their own wallets rather than really care for the members.
Or something like that.

WRONG!
Cancling a PlayOnline/Final Fantasy XI account can be done easily from the PlayOnline Viewer. The reason they had so much problem is because the idiot kid forgot to read the manual.

Oh, that makes sense of everything.
In the end it is still the kid's fault.

Well... the game is Pay to Play. If he just abandons the account he'd get charged a monthly fee for a game he doesn't play. If you're willing to let a game take money from you every month, you should at least have the foresight to stop paying it when you're done. Common sense isn't so common these days.

I don't know anyone in RL that reads manuals... And common sense is so rare it's a god damn a superpower.
