I have recently joined in with the ZVRP, and thought it might be fun to explain how my character came to be in the story, this is the story leading up to Suprema joining the group. and how he came to be called, "Suprema"
As the sun rose into the sky a new day began, and tragic events were to unfold, on that day in the year of death, as it would come to be known as eventually, thousands of people would pass onto the netherworld. On that day, castles would crumble and towers would topple; people would die at the hands of the demons known as the Syra.
Supremus woke to the sound of a nearby rooster’s crowing, as he did every morning; he went through his morning procedure like usual and left to gather firewood, as rainclouds were gathering above. He heard cries of the villagers on his way back, so he dropped the gathered wood and sped off into the village.
Fires burned throughout the town, blood stained the walls, and black creatures ran loose murdering innocent people. Supremus drew his blade, Aerosa, and attacked a creature with a downward slash, his blade tearing through the creature’s flesh began to shine with a brilliant light; the creature was overcome by this light and dissipated into nothingness. Seeing his newfound advantage, Supremus went through the village exterminating every one of the creatures mercilessly.
As the last of the creatures vanished, he heard an explosion back at Dokyo Castle. He turned to see the castle collapse in on itself. Rushing to the area, he hoped and prayed to the Orenian gods that the people he loved got out of it beforehand. As he approached the castle he noticed creatures similar to the ones in the village fleeing from the scene of the destruction he threw his blade to the side and began digging through the rubble, after digging for hours on end he came across a body, the body of his Sensei and Grandfather, Auros Dokyo.
Grief overcame him instantly, tears poured from his eye; he began digging again, he had to know if she was in there. After another few hours he found the thing he prayed he would not find, he found the body of Hatia Ryo, the girl whom he swore to protect. His eyes felt as though they were about to burst, his heart beat so rapidly it could break out of his chest at any moment. He couldn’t find his voice, he wanted to cry out loud but his body would not allow it.
Knowing nothing could change, but still angry with himself, he picked up Aerosa and began slashing at trees in rage, the power of his swings cutting through the trunks with ease. He ended his rampage as the sun began to set, little did he know that the exact same thing was happening across the country.
After giving Auros and Hatia a burial, he used a spell that he was taught to ward travelers and creatures away from the gravesite. Supremus found and slept in a small cavern that night, the cold was anything but helpful, he was alone, and the others were dead. That’s when he realized that Myrr wasn’t in the rubble, he and Myrr were linked spiritually, so he should’ve sensed the spirit’s presence, this cheered Supremus up a bit, so he was able to sleep.
The next morning Supremus began his long trek towards the only place he knew to gather knowledge, Orenos Castle. He journeyed for 3 days being attacked by those black creatures multiple times, on the third night, he found another cavern to sleep in, it seemed warm, as he ventured in to confirm it’s safety, one of the black creatures appeared before him, it shapeshifted into the form of a human being carrying a sword.
It held out its limb that resembled an arm and beckened for Supremus to come forth, Supremus knew that the creatures were somehow responsible for the deaths, so he ran forward and attacked the creature in anger, it vanished from sight and he fell into a pit. The pit was illuminated brightly in multiple colors, the sensation of falling gradually vanished as the colors faded, and another world came into view, he had been somehow teleported somewhere.
Supremus walked aimlessly for about 4 hours before coming across a city, a city that he had never seen nor heard of before. He found a small motel and tried to stay there, but they rejected the currency and kicked him out, it was then he met a boy exactly the same age as him that looked exactly like him, his name was Suprema Kazega.
He lived on his own and had no family; he was a kind boy who hated violence, exactly how Supremus had been before he returned to his place of birth. Suprema allowed Supremus to stay for awhile; they bonded as brothers would during the few months they lived together, and Supremus learned more about the world he was in too.
However, one day when Supremus and Suprema went off to get some supplies at the store, an armed robbery occurred, Supremus taunted the the robbers and drew his blade, but, the robber had had enough of Supremus’ taunts and fired his gun at him. Suprema leaped in the way of the attack and saved Supremus’ life though sacrificing his own.
Supremus’ rage boiled up top again, he swung his blade and murdered the robbers in cold blood. Knowing what he had done he fled the city, and found shelter under a tree far from civilization. He had lost another person who was close to him, and felt guilty, like he was responsible; but he knew that he had to be strong, so he decided to march on. He had a map and a compass that Suprema had given him, so he almost couldn’t get lost.
He decided to make his way for the closest city other than the one he fled; that city was Central City. He encountered an enemy dressed in a black garment, the enemy mistook Supremus for Suprema and attacked him, Supremus was easily outmatched, so he decided to run away; this maneuver, however, drained nearly all his stamina.
He cracked a few ribs during the fight with the attacker but continued on; he finally made it to Central City, though he collapsed on the side of the road. He was found by some civilians and taken to the hospital and treated properly. When he awoke he told the doctors that his name was Suprema Kazega, since the attacker had mistook him as Suprema, he thought he should stick with that persona for awhile.
He was released about a week later after wrestling his blade away from the doctors, only to be run down by a drunken man on a barrel of beer. Suprema got angry and shouted a bit but decided he shouldn’t get involved with seemingly insane people. Though he felt bad about yelling, so he stole a bottle of beer and gave it to the man. A few minutes later a large explosion shook the hospital, and Suprema rushed to the explosion site.
