With only a few months remaining until the worldwide arcade release of DDR Supernova, Konami has continued their tradition of public arcade tests this week in Japan. It's a testament to just how seriously Konami of Japan is taking this title, and a nod to those who have stuck with the series.
This is the second period of public location tests, with the first having also taken place right here in the US. Thanks goes to Bemanistyle for picking up on the track listing.
With a final song list (that has yet to be revealed in full) of over 300 songs, this here is just a small taste of what is new to DDR Supernova; the vast majority of the songs will be taken from previous titles in the series.
Licensed Songs
These are songs that are taken from other popular musicians outside the realm of Konami's games, or from the long-running series of remix albums, DanceMania. It's of note to point out the new song (To DDR any ways) by DDR veteran, Captain Jack, who passed away late in 2005. Rest in peace, old friend!
* Center Fold / Captain Jack
* Golden Sky / smile.dk
* A Love Like This / Pandora
* Toxic (FT company Edit) / Helen
* What A Wonderful World / BEATBOX vs. DJ MIKO
New Konami Songs
Just how many aliases can Konami's musical genius Naoki Maeda come up with? Let's find out! These are Konami's original creations, made exclusively for their music games. You'll notice a new song by BeForU, which is Konami's own personal girl band, but it's also worth noting that Kosaka Riyu is also in the band, furthering their want to push her solo. And yes, that emoticon is really there for Peace.
* Honey Punch / Kosaka Riyu
* Peace (^^)v / BeForU
* Hana Ranman / TERRA
* My Only Shinning Star / NAOKI
* Fly away / ChiyoTio
* Innocence of Silence / nc ft.NRG Factory
Bemani Cross-Overs
Also known as transplants, these are songs made popular by other games in Konami's line of Bemani music games. Expect a lot of Beatmania IIDX tracks and of course, their pride and joy, Pop'n Music. These are the songs that either make you groan or fan-squeal.
Supernova is all about hot transplants and this list is full of them. Everyones favorite Japanese garage punk band, Des-Row has two tracks here, one from both Pop'n Music and Drumania / Guitar Freaks. Terra's song "Mugen No Hikari" is widely considered to be one of the better songs from last years Pop'n Music 12 release, and "Rainbow Rainbow" is an infamous track from Beatmania IIDX 10th Style, featuring a bass so fast and hardcore that it literally turns into a buzzing sound. Bemani dinosaurs will also freak out, finding "hunting for you" on that list, which is a classic staple of 5-key Beatmania.

* hunting for you / TOGO PROJECT feat. MEGU & SCOTTY D.

Extra Stage
The songs that will bring most would-be Dance Dance Revolution all-stars to their knees -- the extra stages. In order to play the following two songs you must play a song on the Heavy difficulty on your final stage, as well as achieve a "AA" grade. Having played Facination MAXX myself, it's no push-over with it's 400BPM start.
* Fascination MAXX / 100-200-400
* Healing-D-Vision / DE-STARD
Awesome new art style too
