First off:
IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!
--------------------------------------
The latest issue of Japanese gaming publication, Famitsu, has the first ever screenshots and details of Harvest Moon Wii and we have them for you right here!
The controls are completely based around the Wiimote. You tilt the controller downwards like a bucket to water plants, pull back and "throw forward" to fish, and so on. On the d-pad, players press left and right to scroll through the tools and down to disable them. The A button is used as an action button to speak to people and open doors.
Natsume has yet to announce a release date, but expect more information at the Tokyo Game Show in September or the upcoming Leipzig Games Convention at the end of the month.

Along with the new Harvest Moon for Wii, the latest issue of Famitsu shows off the first screens of another entry in the series for the Nintendo DS. Not to be confused with Harvest Moon DS, which is about to be released in America, Harvest Moon: The Island I Grew Up On is the third title in the long-running franchise to hit Nintendo's handheld in Japan.
In the new game, players live with their family on an island and you can choose between a male or female character to play as. You can now grow rice with the touch screen, which is what you'll use to control the game, including character movement. The d-pad corresponds with the four equipped items.
So check out the scans below (thanks to Jonnyram) and discuss them in the comments below.
