Ok, the so called "next-gen" graphics everyone seems to be raving about are bugging me. For one thing, these graphics are NOT "next-gen". They are infact a cheap copy. When I can play a game that looks like Advent Children, with perfect graphics both in cut scenes and gameplay, then that will indeed be Next-gen.
As for the so called "next-gen" graphics, I have one major problem with them.
THEY ARE TOO F*CKIN SHINEY!

XD yup...shiney's a better word.
Besides, it'll be great for this next gen graphics. At least you don't have to see the characters made up by smal boxes and squares. But the greater the graphics, it means the quality of the game's storyline should be better, or else a game with a cool graphic and a bad storyline is a game of waste.

Most of the games with amazing graphics have horrible story lines because they took too much time on the graphics.

Rellik, does that mean you think ff sucks. Nah, no offence, i'm jz asking. By the way, speaking about ff graphics, will there be a FFAC game coming out? Except Dirge of Cerberus of course. |

DoC and AC are both sequals to FFVII...I do not know, there are rumors...but it is unlikely that this will happen during this generation of gaming.

yes i hate ff. i like fft though. neways most ff games have great graphics cuz the gameplay is so sloooooow. so i assumed you ment every ff story sucked since every ff game has/had best graphics at its time.
still ninja gaiden is an exception. tis teh most hardcore action game eva n the story was semi predictable. (i kept on thinking in my head it was murai)
edit: and i know you mean next gen but how much do you think the next ff will be different. i think the stories are very bad course i only played fft n ff1.

If you only played FF:T and FFI then you're missing out on a lot of good games. I can understand that not everybody likes FF, but FFX is one of the greatest games ever made. FFVII-IX are great too. I haven't played any before VII, so I can't acount for them, but I assume they can't be too bad. Give some of the later games a try, and see if you still don't like them. As far as graphics go, the latest games are always pretty cutting-edge when it comes to graphics, and have great stories to boot, but now I'm ranting so I'ma stop before I hurt myself or others... x.x

well i played demos for 10 n 7. not intersting gamewise so i couldnt bother knowing the story.
and there will be a next gen ff #19,12 or somethin.
wtf wouldnt know AC is a goddam movie?
so as they will have the best next gen graphics (#12 right?) then it would have one of the crappiest story lines.
now did my communication get across.

Not all games with great graphics have bad stories. Look at games like Zelda, FF, Metroid, Resident Evil, Ninja Gaiden, MGS, etc. Games that have had a lot of work put into them, with people who enjoy their job behind them. Predicting that the next gen FF games will have crappy stories because they have good graphics is just plain dumb.
