We were able to get a better idea of the popularity of both Wii and PlayStation 3 in February and it isn't looking too great for the PS3. The $600 PlayStation 3 was widely available at retail, while Wii was still incredibly hard to find (and still is, halfway through March), yet Wii outsold PlayStation 3 by over 100k.
Even the Wii couldn't outsell the monster that is the Nintendo DS, which sold 485k in February. Diddy Kong Racing was a top selling game in February as well, selling 262k. Wii Play turned out to be a huge seller, with 371k moved, thanks in large part to the fact that it is bundled with a Wii Remote.
