Would it be okay for someone to enlighten me on the current demographics of the Internet in the US? I'd like to know how it is and the speed of connection as well.

"Using the service, he then downloaded a high-definition copy of the movie Batman Begins in less than four minutes. To tackle the same feat with a dial-up connection would take more than a week."
and that just had to happen now that i might be getting highspeed soon.

It'll still probably be $80+ per month, don't expect these speeds soon. And I know some services are around 400mb/s, but those are only for the rich people.

This article came up last year, PM, way to keep up with the times =P
Anyways, we will most likely not see those speeds for a long time because the telecommunications companies never put up the fiber optic network they were supposed to.

That is amazing (the speed of downloading the movie).
Here, they tend to declare some subscribed Internet as having speeds of 100 MB/s or even 1GB/s. But I dunno if that ever works fast. I can never get to see the protocols.

If the standard landline connection were to be 160 damn.. I would love that.
