I got an email recently from Xaroxantu Zero(eras_2k4@yahoo.com) that I think I should share with you. Xaro is trying to put together a site dedicated to making a Professional Megaman Fanart site for the Megaman community to use in layouts and whatnot. I've already seen the trailer which IS on Newgrounds(found here -> www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=145798) The site may be down every so often so don't give up on it if it is, cause I KNOW it's been up earlier. Anyway, enough from me. Here's the email I got about this:
Dear Iruparattso,
I am Xaroxantu Zero, initally known as a super
moderator for the forums of Mega Man Universe. I wish
to tell you about my upcoming site, EraS.
What is EraS?
It is a site that is dedicated to professional Mega
Man fanart. Created by the best artists/CGers and
provided at high quality to the public for their
web/graphic design. For free, of course.
Why?
Personally, I am getting tired of seeing so many Mega
Man fansites using the same old, low-quality,
out-dated official artwork for their layouts. I
believe you too, would like uniqueness for your
website.
On the other hand, the actual amount of fanart that is
actually comparable to that of official artwork is
very rare. Why? Because it's not often that an artist
would look for a CGer to help him/her color their
drawings and vice-versa.
But what if someone would unite these two together?
EraS is the one.
By uniting artists and CGers together EraS could
provide the best Mega Man fanart ever imagined. The
problem of overusing artwork will disappear. The
future of Mega Man fansites will change permanently.
I have created a Flash teaser (with a bit of spoofing
the Matrix Revolutions trailer) that contains a taste
of how high a quality fanart can achieve.

A few fansites have already helped me spread the word.
I hope you can do the same by posting it on your news
page.
