With remakes\retellings about, I worry for the actual future of Megaman. MMZ4 is supposedly the last -real- game of the MM to MMZ timeline. MMBN6 is also said to be the last MMBN game. There's a bad outlook for MMX9 as well. MML3 could be made but Capcom ignores the series...Although Keiji Inafune said that it was his favorite series of all of them. Only thing Megaman on the horizon are just remakes, which won't last forever. Anything "Megaman Axl" has been dumped by Capcom, due to lack of fan support. They've already spit in the face of Street Fighter and now the Megaman series. I know IHX and the Megaman remake are looking good, but to be honest Capcom's making IHX a bit too dark, and the Megaman remake too cheery and happy. And with the recent release of MMXC being shafted of great features promised, plus a on-very-shaky-grounds Rockman ZX on the horizon... I am concerned for the Blue Bomber's future as an icon. Megaman: Powered Up is not going to influence more people to the series, it is going to nearly damage the entire name of Megaman by providing reason to make people think the entire Megaman series is for kids. I don't like the new look they've given him. It looks terrible in-game, and overall just makes the game look like "hey, this is a fun platformer for KIDS!" which will make the original series as a whole look bad, if not all of them. Involving MMXC, if you want Capcom to re-release or at quietly update the game, sign the petition below. I encourage it: new.petitiononline.com/xrestore/petition.html

Capcom is stupid but I don't think they're suicidal. If megaman dies then capcom dies.

ugh ill just have to go to college, work with ubisoft a while and get hired by capcom then bring megaman back. its a tough world. but i really hope they dont retire megaman but i guess its not the most popular game series hardly anyone at my school plays megaman. probably cuz all they see is the gay mmbn on tv and etc. capcom could make an extremely long and intriguing game with different endings etc. if they keep it 2d. i mean if we have dvd9's and bluray. id like to hope theyre working on somethinking really big and are gonna somehow surprise fans.

They're not suicidal, I think they're working on something big. Keeping it a secret. Unless they want capcom as a company to die, megaman won't be done.

Well, I hope that the MegaMan series doesn't die too, but you have to admit, Capcom is running out of options. MegaMan X has had 9 games, so there's not much left to do other than connect it to the Zero Series. As for the Zero series, also running out of options. I haven't played Z4 yet, but there isn't much room for anything else. And the original MegaMan? All they can really do is connect it to the X series. And MegaMan Legends, I believe could help save the franchise, since there's plenty of room to work with that game. Battle Network series, I never really played, so it wouldn't make any difference to be wheather they ended that or not. And this MegaMan XZ idea sounds rather stupid to me. I hope it has a good plot, because otherwise, there's gonna be some problems.
Basically what I'm saying, is that all CapCom can really rely on from now on is remakes and tieing up loose ends. I fear that sooner or later, Megaman will fall, and CapCom will need a new idea.

And if you wanna know how z4 goes, let me know. I think the ZX game looks cool, just because there is a guy that looks like zero x) Actually, I think it is him...And without a helmet...<3

i think most people dont play it cuz they find it kinda boring/corney for the story maybe. i mean theresa always 8 bosses etc. i wish they could somehow redo the sorta format for the story. they kinda did that in mmz with 4 then emergencies. still id like more alternating paths for good replay value. if they could pull another x5 off it would keep them going.

X4 and X5 were probably the best ones out there, I dont know if they could do that again....I hope they will with this ZX series, though..

Everyone go sign the petition for the completed megaman x collection. I can't believe its come to this... capcom is actually trying to die and we're running around trying to save them.
