I dont think the US can just shoot nukes at North Korea. by now, Korea obviously already has nukes, and are somewhat prepared to fight back

Dear God.... >_>;; North Korea tested a nuke, it's been all over the radio for quite some time. I hear it every day on the way to the college. I personally believe that North Korea should be taken down. Now is not the time to be listening to the liberal media, it's time to take action. All these little tree-hugging hippies can say that we should stay out of North Korea all they want, although it is true that the last thing we need is another war, it'd be wise to stop North Korea now, instead of waiting for them to attack us. America has suffered a great enough tragedy at the hands of terrorists, I'm not about to sit by and let it happen again. We have to stop them NOW! At the moment they aren't a threat to us, but I agree we should stop them now before they become a threat. If they attack anyone though it'll be Japan, I'm pretty sure North Korea doesn't have the long range weapons to make it over to the United States. Plus we can shoot down a missile. But like I said, it'll be Japan, those 2 nations have been P.O.ed at each other for some time and they're sitting right next door to each other, well within missile range and nobody is more worried right now than Japan. I think its also worth nothing that the majority of people in North Korea want nothing to do with this nuke project, the manman in charge is Kim Jong Il. Without him I don't think this would be going on.

From al I've gathered...
China, the one who's closet to North Korea, is NOT going to inspect any trades. The Japanese are, as well, not complying with requests from the U.N. The U.S. is clearly not going to take military action against North Korea. The U.N. is going to be all peace talks until someone has to invade. If someone DOES invade or strike, though, it's like that entire global war will start. And it'd start from guess what? Invasion of Iraq and worrying too damn much about nuclear capabilities...
If a nuke IS dropped on any country, I'd want North Korea to blow itself up.

the funny thing is, is that those nearby countries are most likey going to be invaded by N.Korea.
Personally, if the majority of the countries are for and these countries aren't. Here's what I say. Sacitntions (spelt it wrong) for all of them untill they agree.
I have a feeling that the world is going to need a travesity before someone takes action. Unforunatly, I have a feeling that N. Korea and Iran will make sure that doesn't happen untill it's too late. But maybe not, I'm not sure how sneaky they are.
God I have a seriously bad feeling about this.....

Well, scary as it sounds, statistics say WW3 is due to happen any time really. It'll really f*ck up a lot of lives but thats what war is. If that does happen though we won't be the superpower anymore, it'll be China's big chance to shine and grow. Then again, WW2 really helped our economy, I guess it could help. Depends how much fighting would be on U.S soil. But then if it was nucular war it'd be a different kind of war, we don't really know how the fighting would be. Anyway I'm off topic and rambling so I'm gonna head to the pointless thread.

China has the potential to possibly halt this.
They are the biggest exporter to N.Korea. Just stop giving them food as a threat. =P

1. China is communist, they wont listen to us if we tell em to stop 2. China makes bank off of then, why would they stop? Again, they're communist, every penny they get, they use.

China is NK's big buddy. I mean c'mon they're the ones that are responsible for the fact that there is a North and South Korea. China is just playing it safe in my opinion. They'll help NK when it comes right down to it but they don't wanna risk pissing off the rest of the world while theyre at it. NK already has nukes but they don't have an adequate delivery system to strike the US. Their "Long range" missile crashed and burned worse than keith richards would if he drove his own car. I think it could trigger the start of WW3 if everyone plays their cards wrong, but all we have to do is wait and if it looks like it's gonna go that way we can send in people to start an insurgency from the inside like we did with afghanistan in the 80's

Time for my humble opinion... Screw whether you're liberal or conservative. This isn't politics. I honestly think that the U.S. is way too worn out financially to even think about starting a war with NK, we haven't even finished our pointless war in Iraq, let's not be caught in two wars now...and even if we were economically stable, who's to say the big bad U.S. can just waltz into their country and start attacking them? How would we feel if we weren't the superpower, and any random country started messing with us just cause they think we're a threat? That's just stupid. I think what we need is a more competent government (including our pres) that will actually go there and peacefully try to resolve this. Then if that doesn't work, or if NK is truly trying to hurt the U.S., then we'll have to start getting physical. You don't just start bombing the crap out of a country like some neanderthal. So yeah, that's my opinion.

I agree that were too worn out from the farce we've dubbed the war on terror. It was good at first but then our great leader decided to focus on finishing his daddy's war rather than going after Bin Laden. Our military is stretched thin and were financially stretched too thin. I agree let Asia worry about NK and finish what we've started in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thats what I'm trying to say, we're stretched too thin, right now its not our problem. Just because we're the superpower doesn't mean we have to take out every potential threat. Right now its Japans big problem, we should take care of our own before worrying about North Korea, like Shaun said, they can't touch us with their 'long range missiles.' And we are trying to settle this diplomaticly. Though I don't trust Bush not to jump in with both feet and fight another war. If we need to then so be it but for now I say leave it to negotiations and if a fight breaks out, we don't need to get involved, its Japan and the other Asian countries.

Japan dosent have an army, after WW2 part of the treaties was for Germany and Japan to never have an army, and its out job to protect them. And as for them not being able to touch us, they can hit Seattle, which means me and nightmare ;

Personally, I trust the President, and I'll back up any decision he makes (unless he teams up with Jack Thompson >.> but we really don't need another war. But, although that's true, if North Korea is testing nukes, they do need to be stopped. Now, I'm not going to say we should just go over and bomb them, but either way, they need to be stopped. And it's not like we haven't tried to avoid war. We tried to avoid war with Iraq too (which I think is a totally justified war, but back on topic >.> but it didn't work. What people don't realize is that these people don't listen to reason, they're not interested in peace, they're crazy and want us dead. In all honesty, better them than us, if ya ask me. >.>; And SpEX is right, supposedly North Korea can barely reach the West coast. That's not a big deal for any of you, but I live right on the west coast, so if I get bombed cause of some hippies saying "Don't hurt poor little psychotic North Korea" I want you guys to avenge me. >.>;
