Not really. He just rides around in the Pope mobile and waves at people then makes a few speeches or something. Catholics get exited though.

That comment made no sense to me. Thought I'd point that out.

Pope? At the streets? Making students scream?
Totally cow-sense. No offence. But that's fresh, having a Pope to talk about moral issues in the States. Do that usually happens? I'm not an American obviously, so i have no idea.

Normally no. It's even rare to see the Pope around.
And since he's the traditional Christian world leader, most people would kill to see him in front of them.

Nope, only people who have no sense of respect or even logic would do that. Like V Tech all over again. I don't understand how you can twist my words to be like that.
The Pope is equivalent to a celebrity, since it's a 2000 year old post of Christian leadership. He rarely travels, so that's why people cheer in his presence of a respectable man.

It woulnd't be like V Tech at all. That was a school shooting by another depressed kid on anti depressants. I swear to god there is a conection. Just like Columbine they were depressed and on anti depressants.
I get what Fann was saying though, the Pope has celebrity status here in the U.S. just as the Dali Lama dose. Popes have been assassinated over the years, and I'm sure some Jusus freak killed sombody so he could see one of them. So that covers that.
The pope visits here frequently I guess, I dunno I think the last one did anyways. And with the leading religios majority being Christianity then its no suprise that even non-catholics would go to see him.
