Ultimate Spriting Championship - Discussion

This is a tournament to decide how the ZV members rank up against each other when it comes to spriting. It's pretty simple - you post here saying you enter, and I pair you up against somebody else. You then make a sprite(no rules on style or colors, so do whatever) and post it in the entry thread, where people will vote on which sprite they liked better in the voting thread. If you get more votes, you move on to the next round, where you're paired up against somebody else and do that over again. This continues until we have one person left, the undisputed Zero Virus Heavyweight champion. The results are posted in the results thread, of course.

Considering that this is a pointless competition and will only inflate egos, i say kill it before someone gets their pride wounded.

Let's wait a few more days, and if nobody enters, then a mod should delete/lock these threads.

You're wrong. It's to see who's the best of ZV.

It's why I'm entering. I need a good kickback from a lack of spriting.

I don't think anyone will really get bruised egos, we all know who the better spriters are here. I can see some people getting angry at how they were judged though but I'm going to hope people are mature, most of our spriters are.

I just don't know how necessary a competition is though, the ZV carnival is like 1-2 months away.

I see the main problem would be bias votes. Favoritism.

I can see people voting for Nightmare or Xero because they're Nightmare and Xero. >.>;;

and there is a another porblem: MasterOmegaX and Reaver are soo good, no one has a chance against them.

I say leave it for the Carnival. They already have a competition like that in it.

Sorry, but Vilex isn't an administrator and doesn't have the authority to give the "Okay" for something like this.

Besides, we do a Spriting Contest at the Yearly Zero Virus Carnival, we do it every summer. You can wait till then. =O

Well, given the fact Xero and yourself have gone here and there, it wouldn't hurt to give the forum a little fun, and something exciting, would it? And, if you think about it, the carnivals usually don't get crap for spriting contestants.. So, would it really hurt? And by the looks of things, I don't think there will be really much of a carnival, comming up.

I'm having my own perks about things, so pardon my behavior. =/.

I'm not scolding you for wanting to do something fun. Fun is good. It's just that stuff like this should be run by Xero or I first, and it's kinda not cool to hold a sprite contest when the Carnival isn't more than a Month away. <.<;

Well.. Then maybe this can substitute for the spriting portion of the carnival? Actually, if you think about it, who would want to have to WORK to make a sprite for something thats ment for fun ;P.

But, i'm sure Xero wouldn't mind. I mean, given the fact, we can't always wait around for him to make our decisions for us, in our time of need. I guess, more or less, it would be your decision. But if you want, I can text Xero or something? =/.
