Toy, another off topic flame like that and I will temporarily remove you from this board. That was highly immature and unncessary. That goes for any one else as well. Stay on topic please.

Private to me.
If you are using IRC, it's sure that others may get in easier. BUT, as you said nightmare, flaming.
But for the slow computers, i have to say sorry, but having a private client will never waste your efforts, and we got a private one for ZV on its own!
Couldn't give a better comment, since i'm rushing to school....sorry...

Hmm....... Yeah, I gotta agree with Starblade and the IRC people on this. If all we need to do is make #zerovirus private, then why get a whole different chat that basically removes certain people from the ZV Chat experience? Of course, couldn't we have both? Probably not.... but it was a thought.

Having both would lead to an eventual divide in ZV. We don't want that. I'm afraid its gonna have to be one or the other.

Here's a better compromise:
Leave the IRC chat as is, but create a private chat -for the staff-.
My solution to this, is this:
- Leave #ZeroVirus open to the public, have a link to the Zero Virus boards itself. If troublemakers drop in, we deal with them. That'd be a reason for me and other non-moderators of the forums to have ops in the channel: So they could deal with the problems as they arise.
- Make the staff chat the exclusive chat, as no one but the staff of ZV should be allowed to enter that chatroom. If it's set up how I think it's set up, (I.E Both chats are IRC clients) then the ZV Staff chat should be an exclusive channel. It's only common sense that staff members should have an exclusive chat for theirselves, y'know.

First off, that won't solve any of our problems. The Staff Chat has always been offlimits to normal members. I just dropped the protection the other night so Elusis could help me test the 3D chat. And with all due respect, most cases of people coming in and flaming has happened under your watch, Fusion, and you did nothing about it.
Don't wanna sound harsh, but like Xero said, it's gotta be one or the other. =/
That's why we had a poll on it, we couldn't do both, we needed to decide which one to go with. It seems the members are in favor of a Private Chat anyways, so that's probobly what we'll go with.
This doesn't mean the IRC channel has to be obsolete though, it doesn't matter to me if you wanna keep the channel open. We're just not going to use it to host our integrated chat room. o.o;
I apologize if I'm not quite being clear, or I come off as rude, 4 hours of sleep will do that to ya. @_@

And with all due respect, most cases of people coming in and flaming has happened under your watch, Fusion, and you did nothing about it. It's not my fault I don't know exactly what goes on. Besides, I'm technically not allowed to moderate the chatroom at all, given how whenever I DO try such a thing, it's immediately countered by the staff of ZV unless they think it should've been done. That's why I leave it up to you: Don't pin it on me. All I've got is founder-level access, but no real authority. As Ztrl said to me once: "You are not staff"

Eh eh.
Leave me out of this.

Leave you out of this, Ztrl? You're one of the reasons I feel so god-forsaken restricted in that place. Remember that outburst of anger you had at me when I challenged NMMZ's authority once?
Yeah, you got your message across. I'm not staff, and therefore I shouldn't act like I am. Thus, NMMZ has no reason to complain as I have not had the real authority to actually -do- moderation, hence why I appear to do nothing in the channel. If a problem arises, let's just leave it up to the staff. "They can do anything."
And lastly, Nightmare has quite obviously dodged the very solution I came up with in his post.
Nightmare then went on to say:
To which I responded:
Which implies exactly what it says.

Some may see getting a new room is to get Fusion out of power, while other may see keeping the room is to keep Fusion in power. So I would suggest that Fusion renouce his founder status to possible Xero, make him an op and that be it.

What does switching to the private chatroom fix, exactly?
There are no problems with the moderation in the chat of ZV. Toy has already stated about 1,000 times that it's everybody's fault he acted the way he did, and I believe him fully, plus Dray's already banned.
Somehow I get the feeling that this just the first part of Elusis' statement: To get me out of power. Not like I -do- anything with that power, anyhow.

A: Dray's not banned. B: How is it everyone's fault that Toy is a jackass?

That's enough fighting.
We're not getting a new chat to put Fusion out of power, in fact, I told Xero that if we switch to a non IRC based chat, that I wanted Fusion to be a mod in the said chat.
We're getting a new chat because we need a new chat. Our integrated chatroom isn't working, so we're switching to one that does.
