zero before x1

Hey I wasnt sure where to put this, it kind of pertains to the zero and x series so if a mod wants to move it feel free.

Anyway I don't know much about what zero did before x1. I know he was created by wiley to kill x, and that he transfered his virus to sigma turning sigma into a maverick. The next thing you know he's saving x's hide from vile.

My question is why did he go after sigma first when his purpose was to kill x? Did x and zero have some battle that ended in a draw before sigma and zero fought?
Like I said, I don't know much before x1 so if anyone can help me, plz do.

well i can answer some of this, Zero was made origanally as another body for bass, he offered to put basses brain in the body but he refused. he was made to destroy megaman and rule earth. He supposedly elimanated the megaman cast, and then was sealed away to be fully completed after that test run. an occurence happened and wily died before bieng able to complete him. 30 years later x was opened and at that point robots malfunctioned called mavericks , every robot was origanated from x. A team including sigma and other hunters was ent out to destroy a red mavertick that had killed many of there kind. The maverick was ona rampage filled with evil energy that was left by duo for so long it became a virus in his system. He fought sigma sigma was Wooped(in my opinion) but zero was captured and sigma got the virus that slowly devolped through im as the sigma virus. Then Zero was wiped and started as a rookie hunter and eventually became a teamate with x. Thus the x1 series stats.

Ya i knew all that. My question was why didn't he go kill x? He killed a lot of other ppl but x was supposed 2 be his target

wait i thought sigma put the virus in zero cuz in mmx8 he says "you could have been like me" and x says "sigma tried to use zero to destroy the world" well along that line.

No zero was the origanal carrier of the maverick virus but it was transfered to sigma, making zero good and sigma evil.

no zero sitll had the virus
but x was never his target. Just his base. His targets were wilys enemies. Light Megaman and all them. After the battle with sigma. He was erased of memory and reprogrammed for good.

K that makes more sense. If he was only made to kill x then why would he kill so many other ppl, why not go stright for x? that makes more sense
