I think Recolors are for people who are 1-getting started or 2-very minor unimportant sprites that serve very little purpose. Few people can make re-colors look good but there are those who can do it. *points at Xero*

I'm a recolor and proud of it. I think I've proven that I'm capeable of making good enough sprites, but I still wanna be a recolor, it's a statement.

i agree with all said here, i mena its hsould be for those who are begging to put them on the path, unless its an origanal recolor like nmmz when he first started its a good recolor.

A recolor is anything but original. All it is, is the normal character with a different color scheme. There is nothing original about that.

Sure, you can use -some- recolors for minor unimportant characters, but that's where it should end. If one of the main characters is a recolor, you need to be shot and beaten. That's just how it is for me.

And in my opinion, if you -can- sprite better than recolors. Then you SHOULD. -.-

You don't need to be sorry, we know you were just curious. It's just that this is a pretty "high tension" subject if you will. But what everyone needs to remember here is that this thread is for simple opinions, and as long as it stays that way and doesn't turn into a flame war, it's fine.

As im not into spriting, I just enjoy the comics of all my talented ZV friends (being nice, not kissing ass ) I cant really say too much on the subject. I say as long as the story itself is intriguing, it doesnt matter so much on how the characters look...but thats just my opinion.
