I apologize if I made a new useless thread. Delete it afterwards if you must, but I need some information.
I know about sprites and comics and stuff but... How are sprites made/edited or whatever?
And I've seen people make their own for comics and such and I want to know how to do that.
All I want for christmas is to know how to make a sprite character and sprite comic! XO!!! Please reply.

Uh...
Every picture you see on the computer is just an image, all composed of pixels. People can edit these images on graphic editing programs such as Ms Paint or Photoshop. To make a sprite just place a bunch of pixels together but at a limited ammount.
I.E. Just draw something on like MsPaint with 8-32 colors and hope it turns out to look like a sprite. >_>;. Personaly I actualy dont really know what's the definition a sprite, so just draw something and make it look spritey.
If that dosent work for you go find a existing sprite from official games that have been created and modify over them in paint.

Spriting can be done in most art programs, the perferred ones being Photoshop and MS Paint.
I personally perfer MS Paint.
There are several different kinds of sprites.
Recolors - This is just when you take an official game sprite and change the colors.
Edits - This is when you take an official game sprite, and modify it in a art program.
Splice - This is when you take different official game sprited and combine parts of them into a single sprite.
Scratch - This is when you just take the pencil tool in an art program (such as MS Paint) and create your own sprites pixel by pixel.
Spriting takes alot of time and years of practice to get good. But it's also a fun hobby and a very popular form of art.
I can't really teach you how to sprite, you gotta learn that stuff on your own (it can't be taught, really) but I hope this brief description helped.
NOTE: Never take other peoples sprites and modify them or claim them as your own work. That's sprite theft and is frowned upon all over the internet.
I hope that helps a bit. =P

Well...techincaly you could use 32 colors for a sprite, as long as you dont make every color clash with each other >.>;.
Anyways the most shades I ever use for one color on 32 bit sprites is three, and anything else is eiether two or one, Black I always borrow a grey shade from the white. I dont really follow any rules but I just try to sprite with the least amount of colors possible and hopefuly it turns out alright >_>.
