Hello fellow ZV members.
As most of you know, every year during June, ZV holds a two week long "carnival" to celebrate ZV's birthday.
During this carnival, we hold various contests (art, spriting, writing, ect.) as well as have fun forum games to play (ZV Trivia, Musical Avatar, Scavenger Hunt, 4 Panel Comic, ect.)
Our veteran members may have noticed that three years ago, we started holding massive forum events during the Carnivals that required the members to split up into teams and work together toward victory.
2008 we had the Death Note event, where members chose between siding with L or Kira, as members of the forum were picked off by lucky members who came into possession of a Death Note. Though fun, this wasn't as interactive as we would have liked, and a lot of people were stuck just rooting from the sidelines.
2009 we had the ZV War event, where members chose to either side with the ZV Military to protect Zero Virus, or the forces of 72 and fight to take over ZV with the sinister IZV. This was a much more interactive even than the previous year's, and it seemed like everyone had a lot of fun.
This year, we intend to do another massive forum event during the Carnival. However, we plan on following with the trend we started and further improving interactivity and overall member control during the event.
-Important Stuff Starts Here
So, down to business. I have no intention of spoiling the details of the event for all of you before Carnival time. But, the carnival will be here in a mere 10 days. And to accommodate this event's bigness, we need to start making preparations early.
By that, I mean we're gonna all get into teams now. These 10 days will give everyone plenty of time to pick sides and prepare.
What's there to prepare, you ask? Well, remember what I said about giving you all more control over the event..? Well, I meant it.
By default, the teams in the event are completely undetailed. We're leaving it up to the members to decide all that. You'll all join one of the two sides, and then you'll work out the details behind your team. And when the time comes, both teams will be thrust into the event.
This will make things more fun (I hope) because instead of just joining a team, you'll be creating a team. And because we're starting this process 10 days early, there'll be no waiting around once the Carnival starts, everyone will be prepared and the event can begin immediately.
-Also Important
So, here's what I'm asking of you all:
Those are all required. Here are some suggestions as well:
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post here, send me a Private Message, or get in touch with me over MSN or the ZV Chat.
Have fun!

-Also Important
So, here's what I'm asking of you all:
- Go and join one of these two generic teams: Team 1 or Team A
- Get in touch with your fellow teammates
- Discuss possible leaders for the team
- Make a poll, and elect a leader (vice leader too if you perfer)
- Name your team
- What are your team's ambitions? Discuss with other teammates (be creative!)
- Be sure all important decisions are posted on the forum so the staff can be sure arrangements within the team were made as a group and fairly.
Those are all required. Here are some suggestions as well:
- Come up with team colors! Team flag! Show your pride!
- If you see the other team is short members, consider joining them instead (let's try and have balanced teams this year!)
- Discuss with the other team the possibility of one of you taking on an antagonistic role, while the other plays the hero.
- Run ideas for your team by staff members if you're not sure about something; push the limits of your creativity!
- Exchange MSN, Skype, or ZVChat meetings with your team, to make communicating your ideas simpler!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post here, send me a Private Message, or get in touch with me over MSN or the ZV Chat.
Have fun!
