Well, well, well, WELL. This really really bites. And I agree with Swim, only an X9 game really make up for this sudden development. Provided, they can actually make a really good X9. Which I now doubt. Very firmly.

I think at the rate Capcom is ruining absolutely everything, they probably will go under before long. And I can't say I'd be sad after these shenanigans, they got it coming being this dumb...

What the fudge. No pardon of language here as it is absolutely necessary.
Who the fudge is running this place now? Its clearly someone who doesn't know dick about gamers. Not only have they been trolling us, MegaMan Fans, hardcore with piss poor mm2 rehashes and lacking anything we truely want. Okay, Rockman 9 was okay, it was fresh, new, and added to the classic series, ten was overdoing it though. Now this, and Universe, and the other game so many people want, Online, they will most likely just laugh off an ignore. I really don't get it.

Never before has a game involved this degree of fan participation, they've got legions of fans drafting up new characters, dungeons and boss encounters, basically doing Capcom's work for them. And yet I'm already anticipating they'll blame the cancellation on not enough participation, saying they won't make enough money to justify the effort. I called it. I can't even believe they would dare lay the blame on the fans, but that's what they've done. www.themmnetwork.com/2011/07/20/capcom-europe-its-a-shame-the-fans-didnt-want-to-get-more-involved/#comments

So not only they cancel the game but they blame it on the fans who WANT the game and who are possibility doing MOST of their work........
That it is what I called a Bitcj move at the highest degree.GG Capcom for giving us the finger yet again.

No Rick, they wanted us to do ALL of the work. Somewhere along the line Capcom forgot that the job of the company is to make the games that consumers want to play, and the consumer's only job is to buy the game if the company did a good job.
I really don't understand what Capcom expected out of us. I joined the dev-room. I voted on polls and voiced my opinions, but I lack the artistic talent to draw up a new Bonne Mecha for them, and I can't be bothered to submit dungeon designs. I think its cool that creative fans have the opportunity to see their work in game, but it feels like Capcom was relying on us to do their job for them. I want to play the game, I don't want to have to make it.

I agree. Letting fans participate in the process is one thing but relying on the fans to do all the work for them is just lazy and unreasonable.

What the hell? I felt like I was just smacked with a blame shovel. So my funkly little Servbot dosn't mean anything? So the millions of comments that have flown threw their facebook page, Chatbox on ustream, or even all the comments at unity itself doesn't matter?
Crapcom needs to man up and do what they say they are going to do, or you know, complete a game before relaseing it. *cough* MVc3*cough*
I think they need to talk to Konami about some management. The Metal Gear Series may take forever and a day to get a new game but its always been damn well worth the wait. They also, you know, give the fans what they want. Prime example, Metal Gear Rising.

If a miracle doesn't happen, we can seriously consider to substantiate the option of abandoning Capcom to itself. We'll just play with the old games to keep ourselves content with by then.

Well I don't think we need a forum tight agreement to boycott Capcom products, each person can make their own decision. But for my part, I will not be buying UMvC3, nor any other Capcom product until I see a change in company policy, they're trying to play us right now into apologizing on our hands and knees and begging them to make Legends 3. Doesn't sit well with me at all.
Short of a completed, well made Legends 3 or X9, I don't know what they can do to make this right with me.

I'll be buying UMvC3, but not retail, it'll be used. Honestly, I can't stand them right now... Capcom's really thrown crap at the fan(s) this time, in multiple contexts as you can imagine. I don't really know what else to add as anything and everything's probably been said already, but what with the RE:M3D crap, now cancelling a game AND blaming the fans for its cancellation, there's no doubt Capcom's gonna be hit hard with trolls, probably even hackers since that trend's been on the rise lately too.
I just wanna see a good game released, Preferably something with Megaman in the title... And they apparently don't know how to make good games anymore... So... >_>;

Uploaded with ImageShack.usAt what point was I suppose to realize that I make the game for the company, not they make it for me. Like Hell I would buy something I made.

Apparently there's heavy trolling going on at Comic Con. Both fans and Capcom are at each others throats seemingly.
