Well, Square Enix's mysterious Project Rapture has been unveiled as FFXIV. The title will be an MMORPG, but it will be completely separate from FFXI. It takes place in a world called Haiderin. The region featured in the game's trailer is called Eorzea. The races in FFXIV have been designed to look and play similarly to the races in FFXI, but they have some differences, including history and name. The game is supposedly going to be easier for casual players to get into, and SE admitted that FFXI came to a shoot-pull-kill-repeat cycle a lot of the time. The battle system is supposed to be more active than in FFXI and requires more strategy. They've also hinted that there won't be EXP this time around, and that weapons will play a major role. For a more in-depth look, here's a summary of the interview: ffxi.allakhazam.com/story.html?story=18309
