Have you been in the Zero Virus chatroom recently? If so, you probably know about Bob, the local bot that tends have an attitude. Nightmare and I have been developing a game for the chatroom. A game where two players compete in a battle of skill and chance!
This game, titled "Battlebob", has been updated multiple times since its initial release, and I thought it'd be appropriate to finally make an update thread here, detailing each update to Battlebob, starting with the most recent. I'll make changes to this first post with each update, informing you guys about the features of the latest version of Battlebob! Though you can also talk about it here, I guess.
Anyhow, onto the update info.

Version 2.0
- Normal attacks can have different effects depending on the weapon equipped, and a lot of weapons can have multiple different effects and attacks! The first attack type is "Damage", which is the normal attack type that you're used to, all this does is damage and nothing else. Then we have "Healing" abilities, some weapons have the ability to heal you now when attacking! But sometimes a weapon can heal the opponent too, so be careful! Then we have "Absorb", which is kinda like healing and damage combined; you deal damage and absorb part of the damage dealt! Next is "Throw", where when you attack with a weapon by throwing it, thus changing your equipped weapon back to the default Bare Hands. Some weapons also have the ability to change into a new weapon upon use too, while some others have the ability to disarm your opponent, leaving them with the default Bare Hands.
- Assists have two new attack types! Namely “Absorb” and “Disarm”! Absorb deals damage and heals you at the same time, while Disarm deals damage and removes the victom's weapon!
- Summon attacks that hit both players now deal damage to each player individually!
- Skill cooldowns are now dynamic based on the damage done by the skill!
- `p1 and `p2 have been melded into just `login.
- `defend no longer has a cooldown, but instead has dynamic recovery that weakens each use, but regenerates as you use commands that are not `defend.
- Each weapon now has its own hit rate and critical rate, instead of having universally static rates.
New Features!
Yes! Brand new features! Let's see here;
Two new commands! - First off we have a new command based on one of Bob's original scripts! Introducing `sandwich! `sandwich is a command that has Bob serve the player a sandwich from one of his fridges. The sandwich will vary in quality depending on how long you wait (Ergo, if you wait 5 turns you'll have a better chance of getting a good sandwich than if you only waited two turns.), and if you get a nice tasting sandwich, you'll probably feel a lot better after a quick snack! Though Bob has been known to store strange sandwiches in his fridge... Don't ask why. But if you are unlucky enough to get one of these sandwiches, beware, some don't digest as well as others.
- But enough about that! We have a brand spankin' new command ready for you guys! Introducing `focus! `focus will allow you to concentrate all your energy and attention on your next attack, allowing you to unleash a more powerful `attack on your next turn. Every weapon has its own focus move, so experiment with all of them! Though be careful, your focused state only lasts one turn, and doesn't affect any command other than `attack.

- (2.1)Current equipped weapon name is displayed in the turn start notice displayed at the beginning of your turn.
- (2.1.1)Added the ability to "Double Overkill" on draws.
Big Changes
- New Command `rift - `rift is a hybrid command of `summon and `assist, drawing from both databases. Instead of paying HP to use like a summon, however, you toss your current equipped weapon into a rift. Obviously you must have a weapon equipped to use this command.
