To me, it looks fake. Why? The picture of Rockman on there looks one from the Dreamwave comics, and Zero would probably never show up in a Megaman game. Plus that Zero picture only has a minor difference: Red Eyes. Zero wouldn't be given off as the main bad guy. He'd be like the silhoutte in the background. And the logo doesn't even resemble Capcom's style. It'd be a LOT larger than that.
EDIT: Furthermore, if Capcom was making Megaman 9, wouldn't it have been announced? And be on Planet Megaman?

shame though if it is fake... it would be a cool game, especially having MM being pwned by zero

It looks totally fake... You can easly tell, Those are basic photoshop effects used for the background, the cloud renderings... and how hes blended from the bottom to the top, thats the use of the "feather" effect. and the top right MM9 logo doesn't look like anything capcom would do... it slightly resembles somthing could of been done in photoshop... how the gradient on the text is, it goes to the center, another option in "blending modes" on the texts.

Its obviously fake. Logically there wouldn't be any completed box art for a game that has yet to even be announced, let alone reuse a picture of Zero that is which is chronologically incorrect for the Megaman series timeline(note that Zero doesn't look that way until MMX2. And yes I am aware Capcom made this error once already but things like that happen like when Vegeta didn't have his tail in a flashback where he hadn't lost it yet)

It's not really that easy to tell from a first glance >_> I'm not an idiot or anything. Your guyses' comments make perfect sense, so I'll assume it's a nicely done fake.

I don't know if it's real or fake so I'm not voting.

I can tell it's fake, and I don't even know anything about photoshop! The anime styles of Zero and Megaman are very different in that pic.

If they had changed the style of Zero into something more Megaman-ish, then it would be more fitting.
It would also explain what happened in the Classic series, and how everyone disappears. And why no one from the past is ever mentioned in the X-series, aside from Light and Wily.
Meh.. Damn Capcom bastards.. So many loose ends..

hehehe..everybody told you already that it is fake cause the megaman is from the original series while zero is from the X series... I know which characters are from which games, I could've told the difference without anyone elses help, I own MMAC and most of the MMXs (and MMBNs and MMLs).
