I never thought at any step of the way that it'd crush every single Stretch Goal, and everytime they reached what I assumed was the peak and added more I said it was unrealistic. Guess that showed me. lawl This is a huge victory for MegaMan fans everywhere. Not "MegaMan", but "MegaMan fans." I feel like this game has everything it needs to be better than at least any of the Classic Series games and is a worthy successor to the MegaMan series, which has all but been pronounced dead after Capcom's shoddy handling of the franchise... I'm really happy about this and can't wait to play it. Next big questions is what platform I wanna play the game on, because after all them stretch goals there's a lot of options...

Simply incredible. I don't think anybody, and least of all Inafune expected the Kickstarter would be this much of a success. I can't wait to play this, and after seeing how eager fans were to throw their money into the project I'd say its likely that in the future we might see a Mighty Numbers X or Mighty Number Legends or something similar.
I'm sure Capcom is kicking themselves, or at least wishing that they could have that 4 million in their bank.

Agreed. I think Capcom (and a lot of game companies really) made a huge mistake when they decided to take the creator out of the Captain's Chair. Inafune is who brought us MegaMan and is ultimately what made it the loving success that it is. By kicking him around to the point that he felt he had to leave, they caused a sharp decline in the quantity and quality of MegaMan games in the last 10 years, which finally hit rock bottom... And this one here is proof that Capcom could have still been sitting pretty (in terms of MegaMan at least) if they had let Inafune call some shots with the direction of the series. I think he's better off branching off though, even if it does sadly mean having to say goodbye to MegaMan and all of his friends that were with us in our childhood.... Now the important question: In light of these two online modes (the Call co-op and the Battle Race vs mode) we all need to decide on a platform so we can all play together! I'd say PS3 but not many of us have one of those. Wii U is also possible but same problem. 3DS maybe? PC is probably most reliable but I'd rather own it on a console than the PC personally. Maybe we'll have to wait til the game is farther in development to see if there's any difference between versions.

I know we all have PCs. But not all of us have PCs that can handle it.

I will admit this development has certainly surprised me. It's good then that people realize their rights and they really pushed for the project with its full features and all.
I will say I'm certainly pleased and Mighty no 9 has earned my full support.
Too bad Capcom will not wise up and listen from this, instead continuing on its cash-cowing its more mature series when there's a riot of Megaman fans outside they're not listening to.

I'm okay with this. There needs to be more cosplay done from the Megaman franchises, thus there needs to be more from Mighty No 9.

I'm glad to see a meaningful update on this. Admittedly I kind of stopped paying attention to the backer forums after the mind-numbingly stupid controversy over Call's design and that moderator broad... It looks really cool. I can see what you mean, the style is very much like a cross between MegaMan Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X. Looks really fun, can't wait to actually play it.

I have watched someone play Mighty No 9 from beginning to end.
Bit of spoilers for rant purposes. I'm sure someone here has played it already.
It was decently entertaining, I recognized some Megaman and X series elements here and there, there was an interesting idea of neutralizing the enemy by absorbing its Xels instead of blowing them up, the last stage level was scary like crazy. Although the 2nd and 3rd snippet of images left me scratching my head before the insanely long credits.
What was being done to Call? Why does it seem as if Dr White is merging Trinity with Call? The story has me left wanting for more - it's like another ZX or ZX Advent where bare snippets of details of the characters are revealed. I don't understand how activating Trinity just made all the robots go "Maverick" so to speak. Where did all the evil come from?
I'm guessing plot holes like this will only be explained in a Mighty No 9 sequel.
Although ... the Internet is hating this game right now because of its disastrous delivery of the game itself and numerous delays, I don't think it's that bad. I just feel Comcept is a young company and there were too many ambitions (Red Ash: Indelible Legend) and miscommunications got in the way.
It's not bad, but it's not really good. There's effort in the game, but a lot of executions were done poorly. Could've been improved, but they didn't.

I was ranked 1 in the speedrun challenge of Might 8's stage. It has been the only moment I was best in the world at a game. I took immense pride in that.
Personally I enjoy the game. It isn't the best thing in the world, but it is fun.
